I don’t know. That’s a unique situation. Etika loved Drama Alert and wanted to make a guest appearance on it for a long time before getting his chance. His girlfriend and his own mother stood up for Keem on this one. So I gotta take their word on it and assume behind the Keemstar character, he and Etika were on better terms than people want to accept. He’s still a scumbag, but that one I think people are not looking at the whole picture.

Im an adult and always check in with my parents before I make decisions because I love and respect them. Ethan has done some shitty things himself, but if you’ve watched his podcast you’d know that he has recognized his wrongdoings and talked openly about them. Meanwhile, keemstar has this big audience of impressionable young people who watch him relentlessly harass people online and then provokes a fight by being petty and/ or aggressive toward people that call out his problematic behaviour. This is not how an adult should act and he has no respect for anyone and kids are watching it and thinking it is okay.

At first I thought Keemstar knew what he was doing and was just intentionally playing up the "grifting-asshole" role for cheap clicks, but now I'm convinced that he's actually as dumb as he appears and that he has absolutely no self-awareness whatsoever. I think I had this realization when Ethan showed some of the DMs he received from Keem over the years. Idk.. something about seeing his words in written form, and the way he just incoherently rambles, complete with spelling and grammatical errors, just opened my eyes to the fact that this dude is not right in the head. It reminds me of this autistic kid I knew in high school. If he found your social media, he would just spam your inbox with messages the same way Keemstar does (except he wasn't being an asshole, he just wanted to be friends), and it'd get really annoying after a while but you had to have a level of patience with him because he just wasn't good at picking up on social cues, and was sort of clueless when it came to boundaries. Keemstar's misspelled, manic, and unintelligible string of messages are very reminiscent of that kid's. His behavior could be the result of drugs, but I have a suspicion that he severely suffers from one or more mental disorders. And judging by the way he belittles people with mental illness, and is convinced that "depression isn't real", I wouldn't be surprised if whatever he has is undiagnosed/untreated as he just refuses to get himself checked out.

Mike Rinder was directly involved in using and planning these tactics, which he speaks about as well. That's a pretty good start if you want a ton of information and then having a starting place to research all the different things. Its really insane, honestly. Keemstar does quite a lot of these tactics as well.
