@@pastykake897 yeah what's odd is when i pick up someone's accent .... i had to quit speaking to people who don't share my accent everyone thinks im mocking them
Yeaah... The funny thing is that I saw brave, transpoitting, but don't realized it, and just spotted the accent from netflix's black mirror... 😅 Sound sweet
This. I was born/raised in Canada, but I've lived in the US midwest for over 30 years now. My accent started fading (according to Canadian friends) within months of moving here. It still pops "out" now and then, but it usually takes people a bit by surprise. That all changes when I get on the phone with family/friends still in Canada (southern Ontario). More than one person has commented how listening to my side of the conversation sometimes seems to devolve into a lot of "yeah, y'know" and "well that's what I was thinkin' eh?" It stops a bit short of going full Letterkenny, but there are times. :)
@@BobCampbelldevI think it's a shame for anyone to lose their accents entirely !! Canadian English is the easiest for foreigners where English isn't their 1st language. I am Japanese who's been living in the States for decades , but I realized that decades ago in Japan ! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
The majority of Scotland sounds nothing like these two. They are pretty well-spoken and more Anglicised than most. They have also slowed down the gate of their conversation, we normally talk a lot quicker. Americans wouldn't understand if they spoke the same way as normal, "average" Glaswegians do
She is the best, been watching her since Trainspotting and happy every time she pops up. She might have the best awkward pause I have seen; it wasn't overly theatrical.
I was an extra in a small cast in a cramped kitchen with her, and between takes, she was describing to her co-star a bagel she made for her son for breakfast. The bagel sounded amazing.
@@seanmatthewking uh kelly macdonald is my favorite actress and is very well known. Her first movie was Ttrainspotting, she was amazing in No Country for Old Men (won Oscar for best picture), has been the start in multiple Hollywood films and overseas films. Has been in multiple TV shows. Including boardwalk empire. she just was the main character in season 6 of line of duty. The hottest show in the UK. Great voice actress. I suggest you watch No Country for Old Men. She is pretty much the only actress in the movie. She is scottish, but does an amazing west Texas accent in it.
Women from Scotland and Ireland are not only gorgeous, they are down to earth. This is probably the most enjoyable interview I have watched from Craig's show.
The second interview was probably when Brave came out and both Kelly and Craig were in the movie together so I guess that's why Craig seemed to be having a lot of fun interviewing Kelly
From all interviews i've seen on Kelly, this is by far the most enjoyable that she has been. Probably because both are Scottish so they're connected to each other with Scottish humor that they only know
Love love love Kelly Macdonald, the voice of Princess MERIDA from Disney/Pixars “ Brave”...in fact Craig played Lord MacIntosh, wauza! Love that movie!
years agooooo I went ta a sandwich shop and there was a wee scottish lass workin' her way 'cross Canadae.... Oh me fookin god...she was hot ye see and then she open'd 'er mouth and I was in love.......fook me she went from a nine to a 23 inna bout 3 seconds.....
@@1moreastronautttv get TF outta here! That WAS her!! Wooow. She’s just so much younger in that movie I never would’ve put that together. Nice-thanks for hippin me to that man, I appreciate it 🤘
What is the fascination with meeting someone from your home country when you're abroad. I walk down my main street and I don't want to talk to anybody. Put me on another continent and it's, "Oh, hey, you're from home! Let's have lunch and talk!"
Loved Kelly in Boardwalk Empire, but I really fell for her in this 2005 TV movie called The Girl in the Cafe, playing opposite Bill Nighy. Now that was an interesting film; where part of it took place in... wait for it: Reykjavik. ;)
Far off in sunlit places Sad are the Scottish faces Yearning to feel the kiss Of sweet Scottish rain Where tropic skies are beaming Love sets the heart a-dreaming Longing and dreaming for the homeland again
Notice.......She's probably one of the very few women on the show who don't lean toward Craig nor does he flirt with her.......Probably because she's from Scotland and understands his games..LOL
Love this clip! Great Convo been a fan of McDonalds since the first Trainspotting movie, Ferguson is so much better than anything on late night at the present, wish he and Letterman were still on!
It is refreshing nowadays that actors don't go all out to permanently change their accents. I'm Scots so her accent isn't special for me, but her voice is sweet and fragile, yet strong too.ove her
