Go to your local 🏳️🌈 pride parade. You’ll see a few stud chicks down there wearing them. I used to see women coming from the parade in NYC in Manhattan. You alway see studs with braids wearing a WNBA jersey. These Young MA, Snoop from The Wire chicks.
bro this is dumb af, she voiced something wrong and you just said its not happening. was not the burn you thought when her jersey sells at hundred dollars in the biggest stores and can be seen worn at her games. she never got a cent from her own likeliness
@@RumbleFish69actually it wouldn’t be -anything. Profit and revenue are two separate things. They make money (revenue) their expenses is just high so they’re not profitable
@@Johenz Okay, a couple of things.... First, it was a joke. Second, I am a former attorney who is well-versed in this area. So, to think that you can explain this to me is actually funny. If I wanted to really get technical, I would have cited the WNBA's P&L for the last several years which would have not only proved my point, but it would have been a lot funnier. Learn to read the room, pal.
Then don't look up the other NBA minor league teams that are subsidiaries of each NBA Team..... Their also subsidizing Men too. And certainly don't look up those contract details
@@brokedudeforeverThe NBA G league is a farm system, NBA teams directly benefit from their G league teams which is why they pay for them. That’s like saying don’t go to school because it costs money, ignoring the future benefits of gaining knowledge and skills. The WNBA is subsidized because of brownie points😊
@@brokedudeforever the women’s league brought in just over 100 mil last year…..the NBA G league brought in 205 million. They’re more profitable even though they are unknown 😂😂😂 What do you think about that???

If she wants a share of Jersey sales, then her agent should have negotiated for it. But that would never happen because she plays for a league that needs every penny they can make, not to be profitable, but simply to minimize their losses.
@@crazycreedo1234great job. Keep wearing that jersey and support this dogshit league. Buy Plum jersey to all your family members. They will love it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
On average, the WNBA player makes .25% of WNBA revenue. An NBA player makes 0.01% of the NBA's revenue... So actually, a WNBA player would need to make 25x less than they do right now
The WNBA is still subsidised by NBA, so technically they are in a negative balance. So until they start making a profit, how are they going to give them more money?
@@theunstopablegoat might be a good product but no one is excited to go watch them. Like a lot of nba players mention that they need to lower the rim so they can dunk and get peoples excited to watch. They turned that down with a quickness
Quick google Wnba yearly revenue 60 million Wnba average salary 75k Nba yearly income 10 billion Nba average salary 7.7 million Average wnba salary is .00125 and Nba salary is .00077 percent of the total revenue. The nba players make a smaller percentage the only difference is one business makes over 100x more money and the players get paid better for advertisments and for jersey stuff. Also lets talk about how the wnba players have average ppl salaries but still most of them live better than average ppl i wonder why that is?
Umm plainly because the WNBA doesn’t have a revenue. The league doesn’t make money. Every year the leagues cost to run is more than the money it makes. So in this concept the players would owe the league money. It’s call economics. The WNBA is funded by the profits from the NBA
@deontajohnson5537 because theres no profits. She wants a raise from a company that keeps losing money. Imagine a waiter asking for a raise from a restaurant that has no customers.
“The WNBA generates revenues of $60 million annually, but it also has costs in excess of $70 million annually. So, the WNBA does not make money. It has turned an average $10 million net loss (revenue - costs) per year, since its inception in 1996.” What exactly are you trying to share?! Be thankful!
@@Whitewolf1827 The merchandise sales is a way the owners can recoup some of the money they are losing yearly. The owners are already operating in the red, the players want to take the ONLY positive generation of revenue in the WNBA.
@Michael Euthanasia 😐 my friend he said revenue. Revenue is money brought in before expenses. Profit is money made when expenses are deducted so his statement "there is no revenue" is false but if he said "there is no profit" as I corrected he would be correcti put that face hoping you would deduce that yourself
She almost has it figured out. But she needs help getting across the finish line to enlightenment. There’s no money sharing because there is no profit. WNBA is loosing money.
🤦🏻♂️…anybody with the slightest knowing of business would eat them alive. You can’t take water from an empty cup. The WNBA would go bankrupt and they’d be wearing footlocker attire selling sneakers in the mall.
She gets paid over 100k a year to play pickup ball in an empty gym for a short amount of time. Girl if you are not happy with that then go get a real job…
She's one of my favorite players, I hope someone pulls her to the side and explain there is no revenue to share. If the players aren't careful they're going to end up picking up some of the operational costs that are currently subsidized by the NBA and really have no salaries. That being said there are other areas in the CBA they should negotiate, when college players are eligible, pay grade and scale, business practices and a few other things short-term that will benefit the league long-term.
The NBA players get a share of the revenue because they generate so much money the league is EXTREMELY PROFITABLE. That's the key part. If you're losing a company money you should NOT get a percentage of the revenue. This is not wall street😂You're even lucky the NBA is doing this charitable work because if they weren't you guys would literally be paying to play or be bankrupt because no one in their right mind would invest that type of money into an WNBA team without the guarantee of big poppa coming to save the day, you're better off flushing your money down the toilet. They're not stupid either, notice they always say "revenue" because they know they're not profitable.
@@eliannabrucato4352lol what hes true tho no one notices the wnba so what do you expect? If the wnba achieves half the success the nba has it'd already be a successful league but sadly its probably like 5% of the nba
WNBA players gotta stop comparing themselves to NBA players. Its a horrible comparison. This woman with a straight face is asking for a piece of revenue that doesn’t exist. Technically speaking, if they shared, she would owe money every year.smh
If the players want a larger percent of revenue, and they are loss making, then the NBA has to subsidize it more. If the WNBA was at least profitable then it’s up for debate. But asking for a larger percent when they are loss making is basically saying someone else has to pay more
@@lebron870 The WNBA is a business that turns no profit. They put no asses in the seats nor faces in front of televisions. So you tell me: how does (she) and the WNBA “deserve way more money”? And don’t tell me because they do the same thing as the men; which is a bunch of feminist garbage! Sports, like any other business, is a results driven business - stop it 🛑
Womens World Cup soccer team got paid 20 % of revenue ( 131 million ). Men's World Cup soccer got paid 7% of revenue ( 6 billion ). I'd say the men need a raise & the women need to generate some fans. The WNBA needs fans plain & simple...
@@Whitewolf1827 🤣😂🤣😂 hilarious comment suggesting that I would waste my time watching the WNBA and trying to locate fans in the stands like “Where’s Waldo”
I bursted out laughing at this comment 😆. It’s sad but true. On the other there are sports where women salaries and notoriety dominate the male counterparts. It is what it is.
WNBA revenue doesn’t pay the lights.. They should give her what she wants and send her the bill for $200K. Perfect example of a stupid gaslighting woman.
@@1inamillion367 but answer me this, does the WNBA get more fans/views on tv and money than the NBA. Your answer: Is “ NO.” Why because the WNBA is in fact getting paid low, but at what cost, their gameplay can put a baby too sleep in mins, their not equally aggressive and exiting like the men, so that’s why, their views and fans sections not pack like the nba games, because their not playing “ as they is a professional basketball player.” They play like their in the AAU team or G-league. But whatever
It’s very simple. The NBA is massively profitable and the WNBA loses money every year. One is in the black and the other is very in the red. Until the WNBA swallows it’s pride and takes steps to make its games more exciting to draw in the viewers they cannot expect to make the same percentage as NBA players. Play more games per season, change rules to encourage faster play, lower the rim, etc. stop the whining and make it happen. I’m a busy guy with only so much time for entertainment. Why on earth would I watch a boring WNBA game when I could be doing something more interesting?
Revenue? They lose millions every year. The WNBA is a loss. Subsidized by part of the revenue the men "share." Every team in the league would have shut down year 1 without LeBron giving up a point from their share. By her logic, she should pay the league a couple hundred grand a year to play if they were paid based on P&L...
Does she understand WNBA is operating at a loss? She should be glad she's making 6 figures for playing basketball in a league that should've been shut down ages ago.
She still doesn’t understand that there isn’t enough revenue to go around . The league doesn’t make money to share with the athletes . The NBA subsidizes it 😅
Revenue and profit aren’t the same thing. They make revenue it’s just isn’t enough to cover their expenses. So she wants to take the little money they make and give more of it to the players. That’s like your company doing bad and your employees asking for a raise
