Today we’re going over kennel training with the pups. Why kennel train your dog? It gives them down time, helps to prevent separation anxiety, safety and so much more. A lot of time people say it’s “mean” to kennel train and that is simply not true. Our dogs need that time where they can just shut their brains off. Any dog of any age can learn to enjoy the crate as long as it is taught properly. And you cannot rush it! In order for your dog to enjoy the kennel, you need to make it a positive experience. Not just slam the door in their face and call it a day.
