All of your recipes have been legit! Its helping to make losing weight on keto practical and fun instead of painful. Also, I love that your ring is on all the time💍.
I just finished baking a batch. My home smells fantastic. A lot of cinnamon! They smell just like warm cinnamon rolls! Now for the taste.... I will have to let you know once they cool a bit. ..thank you! I made your pizza and this...best dinner ever!
Surprisingly didn’t have any issues. I notice thought that when dairy is baked into things i usually don’t have a problem. But if i have just like cream cheese on a bagel I’m in for it
Tried these today with golden monkfruit in replacement of the erithritol(only had stevia/erithritol blend on hand and wasn't sure if stevia would throw off the taste) they are absolutely divine 🤤 ty so much for the recipe 😋
So I just tried this receive and I love it! I was really scared that it'll taste of mozzarella so I made sure I melted and mixed it very well. I shared the rolls with my housemates and they would have never guessed there was any cheese in it! The only difference was that I made cream cheese frosting and I think this is what made the entire thing so good :D Also, I had to bake it for around 25mins (but my oven is convection that's probably why) In case anyone wanted the cream cheese icing: 2 oz cream cheese, 2 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp powdered erythritol + a bit tiny of stevia, tsp vanilla extract, 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream Make sure everything is room temp!Combine all the ingredients together using a hand mixer
Looks good. Will try this weekend. Re: the flathead . If u have a food processor it makes it WAY easier to make then nuking the cheese mix and blends it way better and more smooth. Take ur cheeses and dry ingred. and throw everyone in the pool. Process til grainy, even texture. Toss the egg in to join the party and process further until smooth. Done. Can usually do a double batch in a full size processor. MUCH more even blend then nuking and hand struggle. :)
Man, I've been following your channel and have been using some of your recipes, but dang man this one just earned you a subscriber! (lmk if you need a food taster!! lol)
u can goto the swerve website and it tells u where u can buy it, amazon has it way 2 exepensive, glad i found the swerve today! when u first mentioned it , i was like what the heck is that!
What is the texture on the inside supposed to be like? I made these and the inside was soft and “chewy", but the outside was firm and slightly browned. I wasn’t sure if I under-baked or if it is supposed to be like that.
I have to update my comment. They're not as tasty fresh out of the oven.... Let them get cold in the fridge and then enjoy!! So good. My strict keto hubby spit it out thinking it was a real cinnamon roll!! Lol
Would it possible to add unflavored whey protein to it? Just to increase the macros on it and make it even on fat and protein! It looks delicious by the way! I can't wait to try it tomorrow!
I don’t normally do this, but thought it might help. First off, I’m what you call a dudes dude or a mans man. Lift weights, work on cars, play in the dirt. Like everyone, had lots of free time last few months, so decided to learn how to cook. Keto eater (because of gf). Who’m I kiddin? Didn’t want to learn how to cook, but the little lady is the boss and kicked me in to the house to be around her more (“since your not workin on cars...you should be workin on me!”). A couple of points: 1. No, these do not taste exactly like cinnamon rolls. So if that’s what you are looking for, go eat those sugar bombs. What it does is gives you a very close alternative that is much healthier and will keep you on the program. What I mean is, if you are bored of keto or have an extreme sweet tooth, this will more than satisfy that and provide you with confidence and motivation to maintain that willpower and kick into another groove of healthy eating and exercise. Most people who fail go on quick fix diets, or lose patience. If you make a lifestyle change, this is just like a mini vacation that doesn’t derail you totally like falling off the wagon or a massive cheat meal...or cheat day...or cheat weekend (you know who I’m talkin to out there). 2. I too, agree with sanataa about the cream cheese recipe (somewhere in these comments, I don’t know how to “tag”). Use that recipe for the frosting. 3. Changed: -I used monkfruit instead of granulated eryhtritol (sp? Ima car guy). -threw in 1 1/2 tbsp swerve brown sugar in the filling as well as cinnamon, monkfruit, and a little cacao powder. -throw another piece of parchment paper on top and use a rolling pin (I used a rubber mallet until the lady walked me over the head with the rolling pin) -added lemon juice to the frosting (1 tsp) one time, orange zest another time. Both outstanding. Good luck, y’all
Yes I did make them and wasn’t impressed. It’s sad that I can’t get past the “normal” ones. I love a lot of the things I make, but this isn’t at the top of my list. Wish I had better success. Sorry. :(
@@melissahenry3448 Thanks for the follow up. I hate reading the "These look great!" comments. That's not helpful. What's helpful is when someone says "I made it and... meh."
Joe Duff - The Diet Chef lol unfortunately I discovered this the hard way. I only used a small amount of stevia and it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t as sweet and now I’m excited about making them again with the real thing.
Hey dude. Any way you can make these without coconut flour. I’m allergic to coconut but would love to try these as I’m a massive fan of cinnamon rolls!!! Help please 🙌
I made this before I knew of this specific recipe. You can make with just Almond flour..its going to be a much stickier dough..easier to make more of layered cake then buns. Came out really good for me.
I made my own and they were delicious but when I put them into carb manager and came out to be 7 net carbs and 416 calories. Not sure why mine was so much more
I really like your recipe videos, it's very interesting. But I would get so naucious having to eat like this all the time? You don't have this? Thanks, greetings
Help .... I have found an acceptable lactose free choice for the cream cheese ... but what can I sub for the mozzarella? I can do a hard cheese .... but mozzarella is definitely OUT 🙄‼️
Swerve shows 4 gr carb per teaspoon. Don’t understand how it can be used so much. Please can anyone explain, its right on the package. That would be a huge amount of carbs in the recipe.
Erythritol is a sugar alcohol with a 0 glycemic index, which means it not only is zero calories but does not cause an insulin response. (Higher GI sweeteners, even without calories can cause a blood sugar spike, which can kick out of ketosis and cause sugar cravings. The carbs in Erythritol are not absorbed, and basically just come out in your pee. This is why Erythritol carbs usually are not counted. It CAN affect some people differently, so monitor your body response. Hope that helps.
Drives me crazy when people say "It tastes exactly like *blank* Trust me you wont tell the difference" No. If that were true, there wouldn't be an obesity problem. If I put a giant cinnabon and one of these in front of someone with a blindfold, they are gonna know what's what. Just be honest, these recipes are as close to the real thing as you can get but they will not taste exactly like the real thing. If you go in hoping for that to be true, you set yourself up to be disappointing and that's how you fall back off the keto lifestyle change back into obesity. The only way I started losing weight was being realistic about the food and not pretending it was going to be what I was used to eating.
Joe Duff - The Diet Chef I’m so glad I found your channel!! I’m sure these taste like the real thing .. I will update once I make them.. however i have made the keto cheesecake and it does absolutely taste like the “real” cheesecake 😃👏🏼💕 Thank you for sharing all your recipes with us!!
How does the mozzarella taste? Not sure how to ask the question in text lol. Seems very strange to me (I'm not keto but I have tried some recipes) the mozzarella seems like it would make it taste like cheese.
Didn't like these. There is a strong mozzarella flavor. I do think the basic dough would make a great pizza crust, but it's not good for cinnamon rolls.
I have tried a couple of these recipes so far.....hate em!!!!! Sorry they just dont taste good and they dont come out right either and I am a very seasoned cook. Been cooking for over 20 years. I dont recommend.
