It’s wild to look back and remember that LeBron had that Cavs team go to the finals, push the big 3 Celtics to game 7, and then have back to back 60 win seasons. Those teams outside of him were awful and we got to see that the moment he left for Miami. All these years later I finally learned to recognize just how absurd that really was that a tesm losing pretty much one guy would immediately drop from being a 60+ wins team to basically reversing their record for the years that followed until he came back.

What LeBron represents is the exact opposite of what the Celtics represent. LeBron is all about headlines, spotlight, branding and selfish agendas. No knock on him ofc but it doesn't match an organisation of tradition like the Celtics. As a Celtics fan I would hate to have him on my team for two reasons: (a) too much spotlight and drama and (b) no actual winning record for what's invested. About (b), just look what Lebron's teams have sacrificed asset-wise and what they have to show for it. Cleveland and Miami went through horrible phases once he left because they were forced to invest their recent future to keep him there. Especially Cleveland only had one championship to show for ten seasons full of drama 😂

If LeBron brought five chips to the Celtics I wouldn't enjoy it half as much as the one championship the big three brought.
