I'm still amazed at how dominant Khabib stayed against Gaethje despite all of the things he had going on prior to the actual fight. His father passing away, the mumps, the broken toes, the weight cut, the looming decision that it would be his last fight and the expectation to be at his best. I even thought that it might've been too much going into a fight against a guy like Gaethje. It all just came to a head in there. He's mentally tough man. What a human being.
I love how Gaethje defends Khabib in the press conference, when they discuss how many rounds has Khabib lost, Justin says humbly "Just one, I would say zero, but they say one", so he admits that some people say Khabib has lost one round in his career, but it doesn't mean it's true
Jon Jones is the only person who we can really call the G.O.A.T. His resume is insane, while Khabib never fought all the talent in the lightweight division. Also, Khabib retired too early with a number of worthy opponents ahead of him, Johnny Bones is still fighting. Just to clear that up.
@David Baltazar Jon Jones despite the controversy was 100% the baddest man on the planet. Whether you see those fights as losses or not, who won. Jon Jones only has one loss on his record to a nonsense dq. He holds wins over UFC legends do I really need to name them? Khabib was great and definitely the best lightweight of all time, but Johnny Bones reigns superior in skills, resume and dominance, in my opinion of course.
@@jackrm3640 Cheaters and druggies don't make the list. And having three rigged decisions on your record also discredits him from consideration. Also, when your damn near 50% decision rate, you're DEFINITELY not the greatest of all time.
I also thought that, considering Justin was the first the rearrange Tony Ferguson's face and destroying him with punches, making Tony look like an amateur after so many years of dominance. That fight was like a gladiators fight. I started to worry about Khabib when they announced this fight, and then I was again shocked by his dominance over Justin.
I am happy he did. It was a well deserved choke for "the best wrestler" in the USA. He did not defend or fought for USA, I hate it when the fighters say that they fight for their country lol.
He was mesmerized by the beauty of the skills khabib was displaying , at one point he forgot he was a referee and had to remind himself to act like one
Probably he was too scared to jump in, he was prolly hesitant if justin was trying to hold khabibs head or hit it or what, because imagine if a fight like this being stopped early, he would fuck up so bad, he d turn into an instant meme in a second lmao. He thought maybe justin should take a little nap lmao I don't wanna risk my career.
S D bro i’m a khabib fan but u can’t disrespect gaethje like that he came to fight and was very respectful. if he survived until the 4th and 5th rounds khabib would have had a problem with the leg kicks
@ that’s not necessary and is a really bad look. My initial comment was to give props to Gaethje. No need to dump on Khabib for any reason. He’s undefeated in his career. His power is also insane
@ you’re making it about religion and not about the sport. Us as fans come here because we love the sport and we love to watch the fights. Religion doesn’t have any part in that. I don’t have a problem with people that follow a specific religion but don’t preach it to me like my life or anyone else’s depends on it.
The final chapter of the legend that is Khabib 🙏🏾🤲🏾 Mashallah the most humble and dominant champion does exactly what he says he’s going to do and he should of gotten his tittle shot a long time ago! That’s the only reason he doesn’t have so many tittle defense.
Listen to "Christian Prince" in RU-vid.. Hes an arab and shows you all the evidence from your own islamic sources that islam is false. Lord Jesus is GOD.
@@uzi9625 so what if he's arab u clown 😂 u believe in 3 different people that make up one no sense how can God be a man no sense even Jesus himself said he is a prophet
@@yousef-eq8zw that is what we believe in… I know the other guy was disrespectful but that doesnt mean u have to be one back. We believe that god has three forms, and it is because god needed to become a human so he could forgive us our sins for dying because of them.. and the holy trinity is how god can show himself to us to this day. And Jesus said that he is the son of god. Not only prophet
Its hard for non muslims to support a hardcroe islamist. if you have never read the Quran then maybe but if you have it's so hard to reconcile someone who fervently embraces a book that endorses owning slaves, instructs when you can take and raipe you slaves, child marriage, the r ape of those child brides if you think a chlid under 10 yrs old are willing, and the best one for Islam, if you leave or explore you spirituality outside islam you are deeemed an apostate and you should be murdered. Kabib not only doesn't condemn those quranic instructions, he actively promotes literal islamism. isn't hard to extrapolate the end results but you still have people worshipping this very good wrestler but very boring mma fighter.
@ Give me one letter from the Holy Qur’an saying this: You are a man who speaks from the clips that are published on RU-vid and does not know what is in the Holy Qur’an. Do not speak of anything and you do not know it at all Liar, look what is happening in America from the killing of women and rape is a crime against humanity, murder and prisons. You do not know anything about what is going on around you.
@@m.r.a7992 you'd be right if khabib was fighting some unranked nobody, but on paper justin was the best match up for khabib and justin fuckin brings it every time he comes out to fight. i know its easy for you groveling fanboys to talk like that _after_ the fights have taken place but it wasn't "delusional" to be pulling for justin in that one, especially knowing what khabib was going through at the time.
@@m.r.a7992 and before you say it, NO i wasnt pulling for justin in that fight, i love khabib. but i don't blame anyone for having confidence in a legit top ranked fighter and former undefeated champion in other organizations.
@@Yambag it was just a hype around Justin as it as always been around any fighter facing khabib, they had the same shit going around with every khabib s opponent.
I REALLY don’t know how anyone could take that combo from him. People don’t realize HOW HARD he punches and for khabib to take that is something only the eagle can do.
to this day most people don't understand how good Gaethje did despite getting finished in the second Khabib having to drain his energy shows how hard it is to take Gaethje down and how much Khabib didn't want to let the fight go in to the later rounds
what planet are you from? khabib not worried about later rounds like you are...justin would gas out no matter what early or late rounds.. khabib never gasses out..the end would of been the same...choked out or clubbed into submission..thats all that would of happened
@@blackyboi2885 This is not a tough man's sport, but smart man's sport. Khsbib did say that Justin hits very hard. And you saw his leg kicks against Khabib as well. Khabib was smart enough to realize that he should finish Justin quicker for less damage.
@@servantmichael2514 this is JUST you acting like YOU know what khabib was thinking..thats just you talking not khabib..i stand by what i said and it is a tough mans sport; not just smart man wow..if only smart you will be killed not just beaten; you must at minimum be VERY tough and hopefully smart as well
Khabib telling DC he doesn't always go for takedowns kind of makes sense but DC fighting at heavyweight no matter how good his cardio is he has to pace himself, he can't really chain wrestle when he's that big but even if he could he doesn't chain wrestle like Khabib and also Stipe is the best wrestler in that division after DC.
Dana saying he believes in Khabib when he said he’ll retire, shows Dana respects Khabib a lot !! I believe he knew he wouldn’t go back on his word given to his mother. Yet, Dana tried one last time before giving up.
He is absolutely right. Many of the attending Irish have been so spiteful booing and insulting Mcgregor's opponents in the press conferences and even just yesterday Khabib fans came out of the woodwork to declare him invincible and get angry at Joe Rogan for even discussing the idea that Oliveira might beat Khabib. Absurdity.
Justin was obviously extremely scared of khabib. Just watch him run in the octagon. It was such an awkward fight especially compared to how he usually fights. And also this ref was in lala land. Justin tapped like 3 different times on khabibs chest, front of his head and top of his head and the ref waits until he unconscious to pull him off. Lol
i'm Khabib fan ,an i cry for tony .thats sad what Gaethje done to him .

5:20 1000% true. casual Khabib fans are the new Conor fans. Both surges of fans after UFC 189/194 and UFC 229 have been terrible, they know nothing about MMA and all they do is either post pictures of Khabib choking McGregor, overuse Khabib quotes and praise Khabib for even wiping his ass (when they're not defending his honor in every single comment section there is). And Conor fans when they arrived: spam Conor quotes all over social media and to other fighters and post pics of him knocking them out and just being loud and obnoxious overall when they in fact also knew nothing about fighting. I really love Khabib, been a huge fan since his fight with RDA but man, I can't stand his newer fans.
Even just yesterday Khabib fans came out of the woodwork to declare him invincible and get angry at Joe Rogan for even discussing the idea that Oliveira might beat Khabib. Absolutely ridiculous. Even the idea of discussing the current number 1 lightweight being able to beat the former number 1 lightweight was too much for them and they had to go on the warpath to confirm Khabib is undefeatable even if he returned years from now.
@@user-nv2wt4hi8t yeah but not only that, they like compliment every single trivial thing he does, like: "bro he shook his hand, only a gentleman like Khabib would do that" "he said 'good fight brother' after the fight, nobody shows respect like Khabib" etc lmao. although I do think Khabib would beat Oliviera hehe :D
@@nelstar4676 Yeah man it gets absolutely absurd. Yes Khabib didn't run up on a bus full of people with 30 people and hurt them in an attempt to attack someone but he did still gang up on Artem with 10-15 people and publicly humiliate him as he slapped him about (I know Artem talked shit and shouldn't have involved himself but that was in fair response to Khabib talking shit about Conor at the time) and yet people completely ignore that and just say good on him despite the fact that he could have sent his guys away and just told Artem not to try to provoke him again. When asked about it Khabib just waved it off as nothing despite running up on Artem in a lobby with 10 guys, unanticipated or not, it doesn't at all fit his humble image as he stalks Artem and grabs him by the back of the neck. Yeah man I feel like Oliveira now would have been a fantastic test as he has the heart to come back from being knocked down, has fire in his gloves, like Khabib is willing to trade on the feet and is an executioner with his submissions and on the ground so I feel he would have been a fantastic test for Khabib. I do feel like with his iron chin and extraordinary wrestling Khabib would absolutely be the betting favourite but I couldn't count Oliveira out at all just because Khabib is undefeated because of Oliveira's talents. Every fight is different and the arrogance and disrespect of Khabib fans to wash past any and all lightweights in favour of Khabib is absurd.
Does anyone ever thro punches like gaethje... Very technical with hella intensity.. Like his strike boxing id just beautiful yo watch the vombination of the left and right hook plus the angles at which he throws them is crzy.. Hope he will come back stronger after that loss to DoBronx
