Ki-84 ko Hayate - War Thunder - One of the best all around fighters 

Ki 84 is the best prop plane in the game. Between 6000 and 8000 meters is a monster. It can retain so much energy in turns and sccelerate so fast that it outdogfights any plane. It can retain so much energy in zoom climbs that even k4 or 109 cannot spiral climb him. It can flight almost up to 13000 meters dive and maneuver at excess of 840 km hour and roll like a monster and pscks 2x30 mm + 2x20 mm.

I really think WT has underrated the Ki84s top speed and it's understandable due to the different stats from the Japanese sources. An excellent 4 part series on the Hayate by a RU-vid poster:"Greg's Airplanes and Automobiles" has the benefit of translated Japanese sources and the many differences in the variations, differences in the Hamare powerplants and the speeds attributed to them. The War Thunder staff would do well to take advantage of the data as the opportunity to peruse translated Japanese tech data from this era is rare. . With the water / alcohol / methanol injected single stage 2 speed supercharged Homare it was tested by us at 427 mph at 20,000 ft which is where it's supercharger 's 2nd speed peaks... That's faster than an F6F.and in the neighborhood of a P51D. We pretty much rebuilt everything on our test Ki84 so that represents it's best case scenario as rarely seen in operation.. I assume you guys were referring to that P47 when your team-mate said something about a "Turbo-supercharger".. Nakajima was planning on a turbocharged 2nd stage engine to replace the Homare but never got that going. I don't know where they'd put all that stuff as the simple Homare setup was a tight fit as it was. We tried to put an internal starter on the one we tested but there wasn't even room for that. When well built and properly tuned the Homare was really an exceptional little motor to 25000 ft or so on 92 octane or better gasoline and Greg has the breakdown on it so you can see the advantages in the simple Hamare Single stage supercharged powerplant with water / alcohol / methanol injection in this application especially, that as designed made it's power / weight as good as WW2 piston power gets to a little over 20,000 ft and as fast as the first one we tested. I highly recommend Greg's series for any fan of Japanese wartime aircraft fans in general. :"Greg's Airplanes and Automobiles" .

but that is acrade mode .... flaps would rip a part if you would open combat flaps in high speed .. and at 730 your plane would crash ...
