Kids News (Wollongong Fun Factory segment) 1989 

I used to go here all the time as a kid in the 1980s. My favourite would have been the rocket (which you can see in this video), which was outside next to the entrance. Inside the rocket there was a large screen and seats (like in a little movie theatre). The large screen used to project a movie of a rollercoaster. The rocket would also move, in time with the video of the rollercoaster, simulating that actually were riding a rollercoaster. :) I also remember a time when the Fun Factory had a competition (there was an ad on TV at the time for it as well). The competition was that you could choose a key from a box to try and open a treasure chest. When it was my turn to pick a key, in the box there were about 10 green keys and just 1 orange key. I chose the orange key. I then tried to open the treasure chest. It opened and I won a prize! It was a Disney bead box - you could make different pictures of Disney characters (Mickey / Donald / Goofy) out of beads. The 1980s were definitely the best decade to be a kid. I still remember Kids News and Space Ace as well, Steven Jacobs was one of their main reporters at the time
