I have a 5 year old sister and she watches this type of crap all the time. I get concerned and tell my parents about it but they say "It's on a kids channel it's fine." LIKE NO MOTHER THESE ARE PERVERTED FETISH VIDEOS IT IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT FINE.

Yeah my son is 3 and loved that shit! I had to put a stop to it real quick because that shit was too weird! I thought if I keep him out of RU-vid and only use RU-vid for kids he would be safe but NOPE! RU-vid is full of that weird shit but took out all the other things that I think actually is appropriate. I've reported some of the more disturbing videos but not only do they not care but they promote that shit!

And who would have thought that having a section of your website just for kids (like RU-vid kids) be totally unregulated would be a bad idea?! Seriously, parents, wake up... you can't parent on auto-pilot. Stop letting your phone/iPad/whatever mobile device be your child's babysitter. Let a human being do the babysitting, or just have your kid in a pen with some good, safe toys WITHIN EYESIGHT of you while you're cooking or whatever.

My 3 year old godchild watches RU-vid kids and all I can say is a panicked ”THOSE ARENT M&MS” is the most accurate reaction to most kids channels. It’s a hellscape.

I'm glad this video was made because I think kids' safety/ not being scared shitless on the internet is very important but it's also still quite a new thing so it really isn't addressed much outside of kids being told not to give out their details online. I remember when we first got a computer google didn't have anti porn filters yet and I googled Dr Who and just saw dicks so there is some improvement but also there are a ton of new ways for kids to see things they shouldn't now

I’m here years later just to say nothing has gotten better. So many disgusting videos that are designed to show up on children’s searches. I’ve spent hours trying to censor the tvs in our house so my kids can’t find this shit, but even now I’ll catch them watching some shit about a kidnapper impregnating his prisoners, adults pretending to be kids but moaning and being all weird. It’s fucking disgusting and I’ve deleted everything they can access as much as I can… our andoid tv won’t LET us completely delete it! I did everything I could, but using voice controls they can still easily access it… it’s exhausting

When my son first figured out how to find kid videos on my phone, one hilarious thing I noticed was that every single comment was just gibberish. I was confused at first, but then I was sad because I realized that tons of little kids are watching these without parent supervision

I know I'm super late to the party, but my wife and I dealt with a lot of this crap with our young kids. We had to block SOOOO many channels because this is so prevalent. For anyone thinking that Eddy just cherrypicked the worst videos, no. These are literally like every other kids video. I don't know if blocking those channels fixed it or if youtube and youtube kids finally cracked down on this stuff, but thankfully we haven't experienced much of this in the last couple of years

When I was in middle school I used to play on this website that advertised itself as a kid friendly website with games for girls. I played on that website for YEARS, and loved it. Once I got to about 7th or 8th grade I noticed that some of the newer games on the site were very different from all their previous games. Usually there were makeover, dress up, interior design, or story type games. The new games were a lot of 'kissing games' and 'doctor games'. The later ones usually had grotesque thumbnails that scared me when I saw them on the website. One day, I asked my mom to play one of the doctor games for me so that she could tell me if it was to scary or not. I think was called 'princess surgery play doctor' or something like that. I featured a knockoff Disney princess in the thumbnail, and surgery tools. My mom didn't make it a quarter of the way through the game before she had to close it. She told me the game was way to scary, and completely inappropriate, and I was forbidden from playing on the website anymore.

i know i’m 3 years late but i spent a week with my 2and a half yr old niece and she sat and watched youtube pretty much the whole time. these videos were the type i saw a lot with her. i noticed she loved the colors and the way they open things and stuff. was so weird but she did love it somehow
