I don't know what's funnier, complaining about doom while playing a hero doom is really good against, or while playing one that's really good against doom. Love fitzy, even when he's demoralized, he looks for what HE can do better.

As a doom one of two things happen every game You either feed with absolute grace and style Or you completely dismantle the enemy teams entire world view.

These compilations showcase one of my favorite things about doomfist. Doomfist ISNT an amazing hero- But hes amazing at frustrating and tricking players into thinking he is when they dont understand how to play against him.

I swear in every game anyone plays against doom, they’ll shoot him till he’s half, look away and ignore him while he kills 2 in the backline, then turn around after their supports are dead to do meaningless damage then yell “why is no one looking at the doom” when they’re not looking at doom for longer than 2 seconds at a time

God the salt on these streamers on a terrible hero is amazing , like yeah doom can do some crazy tech , but to read up and practice these intense rollouts is some serious commitment.

I think the consensus is that even if doom is dog shit or players can improve, everyone agrees that doom is a badly designed hero that *doesn't* belong in ow.

From my experience, the only way to beat doom is to kill him before anything happens. Find his starting point and notify team. Then hope they do something

What dpi and in game sensitivity you play doomfist? And in order to become good doomfist player like you do we have to learn all rollouts on every map? (sorry I am not on twitch)

Honestly doomfist is like the main character of a boxer anime

I think the reasons most people hate doom fist are 1). Because the size of punch hitbox gets people that are totally behind cover and 2). All of his techs hinge on exploiting the physics and map structure. For sure, his movement techs are cool, but they aren’t techs that feel fun AND fair. Even if he is overall underpowered compared to others, there’s definitely merit to the points brought up by people who complain about him. A fantastic example of good exploitation of game physics is Team Fortress 2. Rocket surfing, trimping, rocket jumping, detonator jumping, etc all feel very fair AND fun, whilst requiring skill and practice to consistently use effectively. Part of the reason those are so healthy is because every single character benefits and has drawbacks from the physics engine. Movement is totally ingrained in every aspect of the game, whereas those aspects aren’t present in Overwatch.

Honestly, if people in quickplay switch to 2 counters to doom after 1 fight why cant they do that aswell. I mean literally his teammates played genji and widow. I dont know if this is a thing that after so many fight seemingly doom is a threat and yet no one wanted to counter him. He has literally a lot of counters. Dva is not the answer, calling doomfist busted but literally playing sig and dva. Here, roadhog, orisa can be annoying, sig can be annoying. Pharah, echo, mccree, torbs annoying, sombra, bastion can be quit a problem if the enemies play properly. Ana can sleep, bap is busted in general since imo field, brig can stun too. Yea, so i think thats an decent amount of counters. Lets just say a normal case scenario. People play ana, mccree. Anas are mostly furthur back, so you challange her from an high ground with seismic slam. Lets say ahe didnt sleep you yet. When you uppercut you are an easy ass target. You get sleeped most of the time, if plat anas can do that the rest should be able to do it aswell. Thats one hero done. If you challange a mccree, no matter where you challange he will just simply flash you. Even if you come from the backline diving their backline he just turns around as soon as he hits something, if you get sleeped or flashed ypu are dead, if you get sleeped alone, she will anti nade you, mccree will right click. If you are sleeped rein will charge you, roadhog is also a tank wich is played quit often, especially in lower ranks, he will hook you if you dive the backline. If you want to bait sleep and flash out you have to invest 2 abilitys and a doom with no abilitys is dead. People complaining about him should try him out and than trashtalk. Based on the many rollouts, when to use what ability, how to do as much dmg as possible in a short time. Where and when to use a rollout, when and where to use fist as a dmg tool and seismic as an escape. When to actually dive and who to dive. How to use rollouts to counter pharah or echo, than you need consistency on the rollouts to get value.... Yea, i would say its a pretty hard character to play than most other dps. Lets just say another op character as everyone says.

I feel like 99% of deaths to doom is because they didn’t call him out “watch doom, he’ll kill your Ana” or something because they’re so tilted lol. Also how are these people in gm and don’t use audio q or try to position themselves alone to make plays when there is a doomfist lmao. Dying to a doom is either your fault for making your team carry dead weight because you refuse to communicate or your teams fault for not actively helping
