Kim Possible: So the Drama - Disneycember 

“What’s my name?” “It’s... Stoppable!” “Boo-yah.”

Kim x Ron becoming canon was one of the best things of my life. It didn't feel forced because we have seen them feeling something for each other since the beginning. Also, just because they are a beautiful couple doesn't mean it can be used as excuse to feel entitled to dating your best friend. Your friends love you, but not that way unless they state it. Also, I like that Dr. Drakken was a competent villain in this movie.

What i liked about this is that Doug noticed that Ron isnt just a useless side kick. To really see that i would recommend Doug watches the episodes that involve Monkey Fist, since in my opinion he isnt as much an enemy of Kim but more the nemesis of Ron and i always liked these episodes where Ron could shine.

Kim Possible is one of those special kind of shows. You remember _loving_ it as a kid, and when you go back and re-watch it as an adult you find that you _somehow_ appreciate it even more. It's similar to Gravity Falls or Samurai Jack in the sense that the jokes, characters and references just click into place better.

This movie is super solid especially when you consider that this was just supposed to be the series finale until the fan base jumped all over Disney. I'm honestly surprised the whole series still holds up as well as it does

What I appreciate greatly about this one now is that, even though their relationship changing is a big deal, it's not in the way most movies like this would play it. It isn't overly shocking or negative to either character (from what I recall. It's been *years*) and they actually give it a bit of thought. That may not be much to many other people, but it is to me. It's rare when this kind of plot feels so natural.

This actually drastically changed the show. And they kept the character changes in that last season.

I'm honestly shocked you didn't mention the last straw joke. To this day it was one of the funniest moments of my childhood

To anyone who watched the show and obsessed over it this is everything we wanted from a finale. The whole Kim and Ron thing was planned from the very begining and there was even an episode in season 1 teasing the relationship to see what fan reactions would be. It blended the high school and action hero stuff and made it feels natural for them to coexist rather than just being separate aspects of her life. That's something the show occasionally did but this movie made the slice of life aspects a part of the story. Not to mention all the references to the show as a whole. Ron going to camp, Draken and Dr Possible's history. That guy from the opening scene was from the first episode.

Kim and Shego fights in this are just awesome

This was, still is, and always will be my favorite Disney Channel movie. The problem with it is that you really have to have watched the show to feel all the emotions that we as kids felt. It truly felt like this movie is what it was all building up to and the payoff was epic!

Not hard to see why everyone who ever watched the show and movies love them. They have alot of heart and quality.

Seeing Kim and Ron become an item was so amazing to me, but I was more impressed that the following episodes were done so well with them being a couple. I was afraid that they'd be too different, but they made it work :)

"We've lost Stevens" that one line is funnier than the entirety of the previous film.

I remember as a kid when this first came out and it was a huge deal. The big finale to one of my favorite shows and it didn't disappoint. The action scenes were great, the jokes were onpoint and the story was something that had been building up since the very beginning of the series. Kim and Ron were one of my first ships and them finally getting together was so satisfying. Season 4 was a really good followup though.

Kim Possible So the Drama is one of my favorite Disney channel movie! Kim and Ron is my childhood OTP, and they’re such a great duo.

I'm glad Doug liked this movie. I've been thinking a bit about the two Kim Possible movies and realised it's similar to how he saw the Muppet movies he reviewed a few years ago, except back to front. A Sitch in Time is all about the jokes, like the Great Muppet Caper/Muppets Most Wanted, and So The Drama is all about the drama/quieter moments, like The Muppet Movie/The Muppets. Looking forward to more reviews :)

This is why Kim Possible is so amazing! The writing is astounding in every way and it delivers exactly what it promises! It's a cartoon that can be loved by anyone no matter how old you are.

Seeing Kim and Ron _FINALLY_ kiss was the highlight for a lot of fans.

The last one was a 3 part episode melded into a movie, this one was actually meant to be a movie from conception

I was having the good times. Hot coco in hand, sitting in couch, listening to Christmas music. Suddenly, I get a notification. I read it. It says that there’s been a new upload by Channel Awesome. All hell breaks loose, my joy of a new upload overwhelms the world, so it EXPLODES! I sit back down, and watch the video. That......... is the power of Channel Awesome.

I really wanna rewatch the whole series. ...actually, come to think of it, I don't think I ever finished the last season.

I remember this moving coming out when I was younger. It was a big deal at the time because people were getting invested in what was going on with Kim and Ron. They were characters with a good chemistry but the question of if the relationship should change was a thing among fans of the show and when it became an issue for the characters themselves it was really a big thing at the time. People were involved in what would happen in this movie so I do have to say that fans of the show had more to gain from this movie than people who have no real experience with the characters.

Doug, if you've never seen the show just google Evil Ron, i swear it's as hilarious as it sounds. That high pitch voiced dweeb turning evil. I just couldn't stop laughing.

I thought this Kim Possible film as a kid was pretty cool. Today It's still cool. Three words: Kim x Ron 😎😍

The opening/intro is the best

Doug, go watch the show. Ron is annoying sometimes, but he also helps in ways only he can, a trait the movie kept intact. In one episode, where Kim gets sick and can't go on missions, Ron takes her place and actually gets the stolen weapon back from the bad guys alone, using an elaborate stealth plan he came up with himself. The guy is not incompetent, it's just that Kim outshines him (and his usual reactions of fear to everything make him stand out as the annoying sidekick). He is what comedy relief characters should be - characters that have a reason to be there and do make a difference!

You don’t understand how much I loved this movie

you know it took me quite a while to realize that Kim's "dream guy" was actually just a better looking, more athletic ron. sorta like the evidence displayed was meant to make it obvious but didn't have the desired affect. to be honest when it turned out the drone liked a lot of the stuff ron did i assumed he was designed to easily fit in with ron and that just backfired cus of jealousy.

Whats funny is how Critic seems to love the comedy and is quite focused on it but I never thought Kim Possible was about that.

Kim Possible did sidekicks right! The show even gave Ron his own villain, Monkeyfist.

I loved this movie and found it far more momrable than the first one. Also the animation looked SMOOTH. AS HELL. Just look at the scene where they're being chased by the gigantic robot!

It's kinda funny how this movie barrows a lot of key elements from the first episode of the show, Drakken and Shego attack the same toy company guy, build a giant robot, all while Kim is trying to ask a guy to a dance

so yeah, in the show, the finale has ron becoming monkey jesus. the final episodes of the show are all together, and focus on a giant world ending plot, not involving any of the regular villians. turn out its a bigger thing than the heros or villians, and they have to band together! kin and shego fighting together to try to stop it all, but end up losing because of just how powerful their enemy is. so of course, ron steps in to save the day, using the ancient monkey mystical arts given to him by a scared statue and honed by a secret ninja village, to become monkey jesus and destroy the villains with just one blow. i love this show.

Good review. Just rewatched the film after not seeing it in years, and I had a very good time with it. While the film does work to an extent as a standalone thing, one can't really appreciate it fully unless you watched the show prior. There were many little things that were callbacks to previous seasons, like long running gags, one of the more notable ones being Drakken failing to recall Ron's name, which he finally does by the end of this film, and continues doing in the final season. Another thing I really appreciate, which Doug also brought up, was how the story avoided some story clichés. One such example being when Ron ran to Kim for help when he got chased by the robots. Instead of having Kim not believing Ron, causing a rift between the two, she believed his story and looked into it, showing how close and trusting they really are with each other. After seeing so many different clichés around children/teenage media, this movie dodged some very severe ones and even managed to play around with them, something that is very reflective of the show itself. The writers really put effort into making what was supposedly the final outing of the series, which I am thankful wasn't the case. I honestly hope that a new Kim Possible series will be a thing while the creators and voice cast are still able to reprise their roles. While the show did end of a good note, I wouldn't mind a sequel when they are older and in college. Make it happen, Disney!

This movie is just awesome, I always rooted for Kim and Ron to pair up. Almost as much as I do for any good cartoon couple

In the show, Ron is legitimately helpful across most of the episodes. Usually by being a distraction, by pointing out off-ball stuff Kim missed, or by being the guy who can talk to Roofus who is usually far more applicable to emergency situations. In later seasons he ends up forced into learning actual combat skills by sheer proximity to kim, which just feels glorious when you see him fight.

It's crazy looking back. I never saw this all the way through, but I remember the opening and just thinking it was a cool action scene. I come back with an idea of what good animation takes after reading discussions about 2d vs 3d models in fighting games and just generally getting more knowledge about animation, and some of those tracking shots are crazy. Props to animators everywhere who make it look easy, I never could.

When I first saw Kim punch Shego into the tower and she got electrocuted, I thought "OH MY GOD! SHE KILLED SHEGO!".

So..am I the only one convinced the first draft ending was Kim kicks Shego into that tower thing blowing it up and killing her in the process?

You have got to watch the show sometime critic,it's so good!

Ah, Kim Possible... I still have the theme song memorized and it will, on occasion, just explode out of me... and usually my friends will sing along as well.

Loved it Loved when Drakken said his name

I loved this movie so much when I was a kid, and when i saw the ending and saw them kiss, I felt like it was THE BEST way to end the show, but i was very happy to see another season of Kim Possible after this movie.

I would love to see a Kim Possible Vlog series (along with possible Phineas and Ferb). Just a suggestion, but those are two quality and very popular shows from the Disney Channel.

I was glad this was something you enjoyed. Now I am hoping you'll at some future point go through a Kim Possible Nostalgia Critic video on the series.

I remember when I was a kid the kiss Ron and Kim share at the end had such an emotional impact on me along with the romance between Beast Boy and Tara in THE GOOD Teen Titans show

My brother, father and I loved this show when we were younger. It was one of the few things we bonded over.

Honestly, this is why RU-vid content is important. While is was aware of the show Kim Possible, I had never really gotten into it, and was unaware that these movies existed. But after seeing the Disneycember reviews for them, i decided to check them out. After that, I found myself getting into the show, and now it's on my list of favorites. I know it sounds very sappy, but thanks for these awesome videos. They've gotten me into things I never would have otherwise.

I’ve always loved Kim Possible since I was eight years old and I still do. I remember that I became an online member of the Kim Possible fan club and I absolutely loved it. Our goal was to convince the Disney Channel studio to give us another season of the show. We called it the Strive For Five Campaign. I even wrote to one of the directors of the show about putting it back on. I can’t remember what he wrote back to me but he gave me some disney stickers. So unfortunately I don’t think it’s gonna happen. But I love this show just as much as I love the Tangled tv series.

What I enjoyed about the show and this movie is that the writers were invested in their audience, and treated the children like they were intelligent beings, that are exploring emotions. Today there are many cartoons that don't do this kind of investment and everything is dumbed and watered down.

Kim and Ron are one if my favorite fictional couples ever! I love how they are still act like best friends even after becoming a couple. Their realationship wasn‘t over romantecised. (Sorry for my bad english.)

I forgot this movie existed. I love seeing the few genuinely good movies I loved as a kid still hold up pretty well.

Loved this movie when it came out! So glad you enjoyed it too. I also feel the animation is a bit sharper than the show, giving it a much grander feel.

My favorite thing about this show is the emphasis on teamwork. Ron is a key factor to Kim's success. It's not just an observation, it's part of the lore of the show. In the episode about the "Ron Factor", Global Justice was actually on to something, they just missed it because they thought it was only Ron. The secret to the Kim Possible success is that it's both of them, Kim's competence and Ron's unpredictability (plus Wade's gadgets and Rufus's... Rufusness). And this isn't something they just state to make a point, Ron often times winds up saving the day or being the tide turner. It's also very touching that Kim legitimately does not want to fight crime without Ron. Even as far back as the early episodes of season one, she felt she needed Ron's help on her missions. If you've ever had an event that you've always done with a specific Person and then found out you had to do it without them, you understand why Kim gets immensely sad in A Sitch in Time when she and Ron can't go on missions together.
