What Blizzard needs to do to make this build even better is buff Flay on Barbarian. All jokes aside, nice to see something other than an immortal build.
to be perfectly honest, this build is built very similarly to the immortal variants. I yoinked the immortal board for it and moved 2 glyphs around after the Pit boss nerfs, all that DR just wasnt needed anymore. took the teleport DR and slapped on tibaults for close DR and called it a day. i still get decent flame shield uptime, but don't really spec into it too hard besides 2 optional tempers
This is the build I've been going by more or less. Been tweaking variants of it back and forth. It's good, thanks for your work in doing the guides, they help a casual old dude like me. I've got up to pit 70 so far and can easily go higher, just hate having to stop masterworking to go make gold. I always go back to staff and ancient flame, but I like both set ups.
Ancient flame is definitely better for speed farming and lower tiers. I think next season ancient flame is the play because has no good passives, unless Vyrs is usable after a teleport crit
@@Lurkin17 Thanks, yeah I've gotten up to pit 104 and uber Duriel level and I'm finding your dagger/focus Vyr's build smoother and as much damage or more than the staff/Ancient Flame one. It's really nice to have some CDR and be a bit tankier like you say. Cheers.
Great explanation, great build and smooth gameplay. Refreshing to see blizzard. I’m pretty much taking a break from my Hs and going back to my sorc for blizzard to get some better gear and also level my Druid.
Dude, I got it give it to you: your Paragon boards are god tier. I will run the Ancient Flame version of it (the Vyr's Mastery version attacks too slow for me).
First of all thanks for the video, and keep it up. Now, tip for next guide videos, before you start explaining everything in detail, gear, skills, passives, etc... Give a little sneakpeak of the actual gameplay so the viewer is more interested and can see the build working before puting the effort of watching the whole explanaition. Just a small sugestion, thank you for the video anyways.
Hey Lurkin, love this build! I've been using a modified version of it myself and been loving the results without having rely of perma flame shield cheese. Quick questions regarding the build: what's the reason for running lightning spear over frost nova? Frost nova has a longer CC duration, higher uptime, and seems more reliable at inflicting AOE vuln (especially since we want fight in melee due to Vyr's). Is it just to get an extra stack of conjuration mastery? Now that Tal Rasha has been fixed, what would you replace the second temper on your weapon/off-hand with? Thanks!
spear adds an extra stack to conj mastery and applies vuln in a more wide spread fashion. i think rashsa is still granting 5 stacks even after the fix, even if tooltip caps at 4
I deleted my flameshield build tired of reroll at +12. Its gonna be deleted in s5 anyway. Ive made an blizzard build and might try this new blizzard build
Hello! Thank you so much for this build. This is my first time playing an ice sorc and blizzard is a nice change of pace. I'm not quite 100 (98 rn) and having a hard.time keeping my mana up. I don't have starless or shako. I'm using god slayer/tibault/esu/tal rasha and the rest like you suggested. Im not sure what I'm doing wrong as far as mana. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
I don't understand how everyone has shacko and starless. I havent gotten a single Uber still this season and I've NEVER had a starless before. Wish I had luck like you creators have.
i've gotten every uber multiple times now, just do your iron wolves quest and do rotations at duriel/andariel for best chance for uber.when you're out of stygian stones, farm/ buy more. you should get plenty of money from selling items to do atleast 2 rotations daily if you're really looking for ubers.
@Levelar14 Thanks for the tip. I'm not much for playing the trade game though so I try to stay away from that. I'll just keep farming with what I can and see what happens. If I get them, great. If not, no big deal.
why not Blizzard enchantment over Ice blades? Sure it has a lot of cooldowns, but will Ice blades do more damage than the extra blizzards? to the extra blizzards take mana?
next season, would you recommend using staff or wand/dagger x off hand? because I have a staff with 3 GA (int, %damage and %crit) and what aspects would you recommend using in a build with shako/starless and staff?
This looks pretty much exactly like my build I gave up just before the patch hit because it felt so weak in Pit 80. Never understood how people did 100 with this pre-patch, I must have been doing something wrong, but I just couldn't figure out what 🤔. Thought about CL with Andariels as my last hope for Sorc... if they fix the patch
probably just a gearing/MW issue and maybe running a different paragon. If you are running the maxroll version you are going to have issues. He hasn't updated it to the new meta
@Lurkin17 I did my own version, not sure exactly what Maxroll is using, but I tweaked a lot of stuff to better use conjurations. Just respected again, because I was curious and managed to do Pit 109 rather comfortable :-). 100 felt similar to 80 pre-patch, didn't really expect that. Weird, but ok, I take it ^^. Kind of motivated to push a bit further now, especially since my Heartseeker Rogue didn't really feel much better in 109 O_O (HS gear is a bit worse).
Can I ask - Why are you using the Frozen Tundra when you are not using Deep Freeze at all? I'd maybe switch that out for an aspect for Vyr's (Mage-Lord Aspect)
my initial paragons this season went overboard on damage reduction. But then the shades ignored all my conditional DR. after the pit nerfs (boss dmg nerfs) I was able to dial it back and run damage boards on everything

RE: uber uniques: if you could pick only one, would you go with Starless or HQ? About to get my 4th spark and have no no luck farming. Already have +4 Defensive Skills on my chest, for reference.
it is, the only points you can really free up are the two on the starter board, the boosted node i took for 22 int. I actually build it this way because a lot of people jump ship onto the build too early and i get complaints about resistances. some people also opt to not run starless and do rubys etc. I just sort of blanket it. with the amount of int you can get these days, i feel like every build i make is overcapped a ton and there isn't a ton I can do about it

Tbh blizzard doesn’t need Ubers. It’s the least reliant on them out of any build because of its aspect not using skill ranks. You can achieve Similiar damage to starless with a Godslayer helmet and with conceited or storm swell ring with attack speed int and crit dmg or max life
Is there a specific way I need to set up my paragon tree? I'm very new to the game, so that part is still confusing to me. Im used to D3s tree how it was super simple.
i just switched from 2h blizzard to frozen orb a couple weeks ago(non immortal one cant have any cdr rolls i reset tal shacko and amulet like 50+times total xD) but overall frozen orb feels really nice i can push 120 i can kill all uber bosses easily including uber lilith. feels like thats all i need. tho ofc its sad that necros and barbs getting buffs even tho they were op already and we are getting like "oh sorc not op? heres ur +5%x on vyrs and u gtg"
Apparently necros are kind of in the shitter because of holy bolt nerf. Yeah I think we just have to accept that our usual builds will only get to 120-130 now and that we have to farm 100s. Its ok for now
Damn, no muscle show today? :/ I fellyou with the fire shield "over it" Im like that with using talrash and uber ring. None of my works are using it this season. I tried blizzard but man, something about it feels off... I cant pinpoint. Oh deff specislly this season you want to cast and go. Only exeption to the talrash is the immortal build imma make. I got pretty good gear for it... fingers crossed hahaha.
Hahaha no arms today! What I hate about blizzard is the lag on damage while mobbing. Frozen orb feels better because it’s that Insta smash. Where blizzard doesn’t feel good to farm with because it’s all delayed
which is best amulet: GA crit chance, GA conj master and dev blaze 3MW with vulnerable dmg temper or cooldown, conj master 2MW and dev blaze 1MW with cold damage temper
Well still same old blizzard type build 4 seasons in the row boring as hell based flame shield, im give it up, and btw s5 nothing cool coming for sorc, so enjoy your summer, barbs getting buffs i dont even know whats the number comes after trillions?
Honestly I don't like Blizzard playstyle, it's a little bit boring for me. FO immortal build more fun and active and can do 101 pit farm far quickly. But it's up to you what you like.

I don't know how he is getting this 4/5 mill hits. I am running almost the exact same build. However, I have 605% crit damage vs his 500% and I am running +8 ranks to devouring blaze too (+5 from GA Amulet after MW) I also have Ice Spike damage on all gear where possible, with a few of them hitting the MW boost and I am only getting 3m hits.
Must be your paragon board. If you are running my old standard board that has alll that elite DR and burning DR etc it will be worse damage. That board was from a time when the bosses hurt more

it does, but i don't get much value out of it on bosses because we don't have a really good way to clump enemies unless you want to run raiment. mana can be an issue without a mana per second roll OR tibaults. like you want one of them. With raiment you have no slot for mana per second. helm is shako or andariels, chest is then raiment, pants cant roll it, and esus boots are too important to give up. I do not like anything on shatter that isn't using raiment. and this season I haven't found many builds that feel good with raiment

With Mana,Armor,Flame Shield in chest you Will be ok. remove all hp gemes, are you a coward ti be scared of demons lol? put all int. i have 800crit dmg 350 cold 250 Vuln very very short Flame Shield CD
Hello, look at the fucking planner and you’ll see I have variants with all of this I am the one that tested and posted the Tal Rasha data. Rasha on blizzard is fine. Because you can get 5 stacks which drops down to 4 for 60%. Starless just makes blizzard feel better. And if you fuggin missed it, I purposefully did a non immortal build. Just meant to be an easy cruiser solid build for people tired of having to gear and spec flame shield builds. This is just supposed to be a balanced variant that’s easier to build and spec. Just slapping on starless is easier than finding and tempering a ring, and some people just want easy. Hence the variants
