@@liamprior9508 Bart seems like a really nice guy but imo, he was very indecisive and missed a lot of calls. Almost seemed like matches got away from him. When Devon is at the table you better have a ref that can somewhat keep things in order.
@Alejandro cuz superhero means best of the best. I respect so much all these guys except todd, but they aren't even close to be the best. Yet or already.
So cool. Had Bill for a ref in Caldwell Idaho in Dec,and at Hawthorne NV a few weeks ago while I got smashed in amateurs. Really good guy. Can't wait for these matches.
That should make Devon sweat. In Michael's last 2 matches (Jerry and Dave), he was above the table the whole time, even though he doesn't have to be, under WAL rules. He's fine like that. Devon on the other hand is not, when he is doing a Kings Move (which isn't this match, but still).
@@cp37373 - Want to explain how? watch Devon vs Dave and Hutchings. Then watch Michael vs Dave and Jerry in their 2nd match (if you want some specific matches in question to test my statement).
Generally, the better and clearer the set of rules the LESS it leaves up to the referee's discretion. The ref's job is hard enough - even if he's Bill Collins - without having to gauge whether or not an advantage was really gained for each infraction. This distinction b/w runners and restart fouls may be a recipe for disaster for both the ref and the competitors.
Damn this favors Devon especially with the 7*7 hard foam pad, I think Michael will definitely have the endurance with the extra rounds but early advantage to Devon
No, but it means he's going to have to be careful. If you look at most of his matches, he does tend to sit in a legal position but often dips briefly. That's what he has to stop doing. Devon's kings move though, that's basically always a foul, but he uses it less and seems very unlikely to use it against MT. Basically MT can do the kings without fouling because his elbow is so screwed up.
Can someone help me understand why it’s a best of 6? Then at the event of a tie there will be a 7th round. Best of 6 is winning 4 rounds Best of 7 is winning 4 rounds Why not just say best of 7?
Best of 7 would mean 4 wins and it's over- so it could be 4 rounds and then stop. They're doing 6 guaranteed, so it could be 6-0. Basically it means there's no chance of us PPV people missing out on 2 potential rounds ☺
This distinction between running fouls and restart fouls is going to lead to a TERRIBLE MESS. Competitors need to either be confident that the match stops when they hear "foul" or that they MUST CONTINUE ARMWRESTLING when they hear it. Imagine the disappointment if someone mistakenly stops for a split second and gets pinned because of it. Nobody wants to see such high-stake matches lending themselves to such b.s.? Just go for a running foul system!!!
The only person likely to do that is Larry, due to experience. As has been said many times- only the ref can stop the match, so if they have any doubt they should keep going.
Core sports is a terrible, terrible broadcast company. Iv spent all last week trying to order the PPV and there is an error code on a white screen: I’m not the only one experiencing this problem I bet and they probably lost a lot of money and publicity. They have no way to contact them from there website beyond an email which I haven’t and will most likely never get a response from. Terrible company.
