King's Twin THUMPER MAX compressor Airtec inflation review 

Nice review mate, I don’t normally buy kings stuff but I’ve had there twin thumper for over a year now and it’s a beast! Best thing I did was buy a good quality digital tire gauge especially for low psi below 10 etc when shit gets real!

Great vid again bro. I made my own a few years ago and found the gain in inflation time was negated by the removal and insertion of the valve so stopped using it .

I think you will find the kings one will go even quicker if you connect the tool straight to the hose the gauge and the other add on peice world of restricted the airflow. Love your videos

I have a single arb on board in new rig an also have kings double thumper from last viecle i was thinking of hard mounting it in canopy an running both into a T piece into 1 do u thing it would work ?

Hi Steve, great review, thank you. Essentially tho, the Kings Thumper 11 is two compressors together, which means more air flow - but double the amp draw. Yes, we have our engines running for winching and compressors, but it's still a thing. Removing the restriction of the valve clearly works when airing down or airing up! Cheers mate.

Great video! and I like that it is see through but I have had issues with other valve removing inflating devices. I've had valves shoot 10mts into the bush and nearly had a crossed thread. I feel that removing and replacing a valve just adds un-necessary risks.

Nice review, I have the arb twin compressor and have recently purchased the airtec off azz, did you say the difference between using it and not using it was 1.5psi?

can you show the speed of deflating using the Airtec compared to using the old school ARB ones ?

biggest benifit would be helps keep compressor temps down,worthwhile for the cheaper compressors,would add to longivity of compressor,thumbs up.

Completely agree with u about flat head screws, they are dangerous and a pain.

I had 2 of the thumper max compressors ( if 1 is good, 2 will be better , as far as pumping up 33" tyres quickly ) I have found that they do not like to run for too long. Bought an ARB single compressor for less than half the cost of the double compressor. Getting another one to replace the kings one that has been playing up lately. I think I may get one of the dual inflation hoses, but at $60.00 each for the adaptor, I'll wait the extra few minutes for the tyres to get to road pressure.....

Airtec also do a Schrader screw on version as well. (The clip on ones always seem to leak on me...) With 25L of airtank capacity using a standard 150psi ARB twin, airtec screw on and using a ball valve because the ARB digital inflator was a choke point, we went from 18 to 36psi on a 315/75/16 in 14 seconds :) It took about 3 minutes to get both tanks up to pressure from zero.

Going from say 0 to 8psi is easier than 28 to 36psi. As the pressure increases it gets increasingly harder to push more air into the tyre. So that additional 8psi from the kings unit was pretty good and backs up the higher litres per minute rating

I wonder if you could unscrew the hose tail and screw in an air fitting instead?

I tried one of these a few years ago with great enthusiasm, until i realised that when i factored in the extra time it takes to remove and refit the valve core, it didn't save me time, it really wasn't worth it.

I like the idea, the only bit that lost me was that air coming out when it wasn't connected to the tyre, having a tank and the connector leaking air would real ly be annoying, being what it is, it wouldn't be possible to stop that. You would need to put an inline valve to stop air between tyres. As I said I do like the idea, just need to tweek it somehow for those with air tanks.

Look do you just buy kings to bag them out LOL, have been watching your channel for quite some time gee you give them a rap hahahaha. Look Arb compressor will out last a kings one by a country mile, Mind you i bought a projecta air compressor about 15 years ago never missed a beat well was until the fuse holder fell apart. Kings gear cops a lot of flack and honestly, I don’t know why. For the price point, I find most of their gear pretty good and that compressor is at least as good as any other small compressor made of Chinesium on the market! It’s even faster than the ridiculously overpriced ARB units!

Ive got the 3in1 trigger gauge that kings also supply and I don't need to touch the compressor at all

Use an indiflate with that valve removal tool it will work like a champ...

how long to pull the valve and put it back in?

Why cant you just put a T piece in an existing ARB tyre deflator where you can then deflate and inflate with the one unit.

I made up a 2 x air inflation / deflator system, my thumper will infate 2 tyres from 15- 45psi in 2min 10sec just buy air chuck style tyre valve, no need to remove steem either.

Can you use it to deflate ??

The trouble with the arb and thumper max they draw 90 amps The thumper 45 amps with the quicky you probably get similar times without a flat battery

Too fiddly when you have to take it off to measure the pressure. And when you stopped pumping with the ARB compressor, did you just unplug the hose and put your finger over the end, before screwing the valve in? If so, surely that had to have an effect on the result

If you are going to keep the Airtec on your ARB then throw the hose clamp in the bin and fit a Oetiker clamp.

$60 but saves you fluffing around trying to get the core back in a mad frantic rush, all because you couldn’t see if the core was back in.. then having your Tyre deflate faster then .. “Oh ship”

Would work even better if you bypassed the other tyre valve adaptor (restrictor) in line after the gauge

They get so hot pumping from 19psi back to highway pressure, you can’t even touch the air fittings for about 10 minutes.

Mate I was literally thinking the same when I was doing up a hose clamp the other day. Who ever invented it and the fact we keep making stuff in flat head is shit.

Hate deflation and inflation devises that remove the valve stem Get a bit off sand in them when you remove the stem and it stops the stem from sealing

Pumping for 1 1/2 min will always be close it’s going from 28 psi to 40 psi that takes time Try the juice boss 5 yr wty

You let out another 1 or 2 psi putting on the Gauge when you checked what the ARB did. But that gadget is pointless when it comes to Airing up faster, When you do the maths you have to remove the Valve, Blow up the Tyre and then replace the Valve and then check the pressure If by fluke the pressure is correct, By time you have done all that it would of been quicker to just use a standard Inflator, That gadget is a waste of time and money.

waste of time when deflating you don't know what pressure is without removing it and checking with your guage.At least with the old ones you push the bulb in and you can see pressure.

I can see the benefit if, let's say, you're running from the cops . But honestly, how fast do you need to be. Your compressor comes up to temp in 30 seconds. So you're not prolonging the life of anything. So over 4 tyers, what are you saving , / 6 minutes, maybe. I think I'll put the $80 in the tank. Good idea, though.
