People often ask that question why would a person turn down $15 per hour and be free but work for $2 per hour incarcerated.. The main thing they are conveniently overlooking is the cost of living.. In majority of the places in America $15 per is not enough to have even an essential life.. Meaning a roof over your head, food on the table and putting your children through a decent school (If you have children) There's also no ownership or legacy to build or generational wealth.. But besides that if $15 per hour was enough to live without struggling check to check and getting evicted or not having food then of course more people would be comfortable with that amount of money.. The money paid for an "honest wage" is far beneath what it cost a person let alone a family to live.. It's lopsided to say the least
