Found your channel from 'The History of Ninja Gaiden World Records', and I'm really enjoying your channel. Keep up the great work, love the chill attitude you have about it all.
Fun speed run!! Comparing a huge and expressive game like this to the earliest NES games really shows just what the NES was capable of and how far the programmers had come.
The memory technology used in the cartridges evolved a lot during the lifetime of the NES. It would not have been possible to make a game like this during the machine's early days :)
Niko Suni Indeed. When I was a kid and got Kirby for NES, I remember all the video games magazines like Nintendo Power and EGM made a big deal about it being one of largest NES games ever.
1) part of his appeal is the nostalgia trip for a large percentage of his audience (NES was my 1st console) 2) lotta games back then could be beaten in mere minutes. I wasn't gonna watch this whole vid but I was happy to watch his sub-5:00 SMB run. 3) old games are just harder. Time limits and a finite number of lives/continues were the norm. Even though they were short they could still be unbeatable. I never beat Marble Madness and that's like a 2min game. So it's just more impressive what he does. 4) he wants to get paid. Sometimes u gotta be slavish to your own reputation to get paid. He's a retro-gaming, speed-running, burrito-loving cowboy. If he's ever gonna get a line of shirts and coffee mugs going he needs to keep the stache, he needs to keep saying klunk, and he needs to stay in the retro zone.
I rarely see you have any difficulties in games but I noticed you struggling a few times. It's kinda amazing how this simple game can be that way sometimes. It's a very nice feeling.
What a calm and cool speed runner ..i like his attitude and i like the his channel too, keep going Arcus because your channel was awesome 😊 greeting from Malaysia 💌
@@evandenney8335 doing what he likes is, by definition, having a GOOD life. He beat a world record that stood for over 9years(Ninja Gaidan)during the heydays of speed running, and now gets to enjoy a childhood hobby as an adult source of income. Win/win. We should all be so lucky.
