@@Gemini_Samura1 I've never heard of The Minibosses but The Protomen are fantastic. Also came here to mention Bit Brigade. They speedrun the game on stage while the band performs the music behind the runner. I've seen them 3 times and it's so fun to watch.
I remember my first year of university. I was playing Bubble Man's stage on my NES when my roommate came in and said, "What is that horrible music?" It was then that I knew he was an idiot.
The staff worked on this game in their spare time because Capcom didn't have enough faith in it, due to the unpopularity of the first game. I'm glad because this series is awesome!
@@HomeDefender30 Since watching this video a year ago I've seen some of his other runs and yeah, he's amazing. His Ninja Gaiden skills are ridiculously good.
Party4Keeps considering I was never even able to beat ninja gaiden.... haven’t tried as an adult but I remember being so frustrated with it as a child that I just took it out of the nes one day and never put it back in. Have it on an emulator... wonder if I could beat it now?
A minute and 31 seconds into the run and my mind is already blown. These games have ALWAYS been notoriously difficult for me and you made the first look like a regular shite enemy. Excellent clunk!
I can run the game on one life in around 40 minutes without any stage skips. It's crazy I've played this game hundreds of times (since its my favorite NES game) and never knew of those skips. Also learned a few tips from this that will save me more time (without glitches).
I am really embarrassed to admit that i didnt know until i saw this video that Heat man's weapon is chargeable (i used it just like basic pea shooter) and Metal blade can be used in any direction
Yeah I posted a comment on here also talking about how I record it the stages on the game through my boombox lol.. I love this game and it's music when I was a kid. I would throw that cassette tape in that Sony Walkman before I hit the bed and would be knocked out before I knew it snoozing to the tunes. 🤗🤟
This is the very first video game I purchased with my own money as a child. I'd been putting $2 away every week for several months so I could afford to splurge on a NES cart in town! I still remember walking around the shops afterwards.. chuffed, but in a hurry to get back home :P
I’ve never tried doing flash man first and using his power to go through airman a little faster. I always just start with airman but I like what you’ve done here
Started watching your speed runs just recently they’re all Awesome I am absolutely shocked with this one particularly cause I’m a huge mm2 fan. Absolutely Awesome
Pretty good..ive come close to this before. Maybe 33mins or so. Airman--metalman--woodman--flashman--crashman--quickman--bubbleman--heatman Order I do it in. Good run dude
He's playing in Normal mode, the bosses and enemies have less HP in this mode That's the only Classic Mega Man game that have different difficulties, if I'm not mistaken
Love your videos my man and they bring me back so many memories ! How old are you ? The reason that I ask because you seem very young to actually had played these games at their time. If you're under 30 then what made you all of a sudden like these old school games ? It's actually rare for younger generations to like old school games like these.
I always remembered that the wood shield works great on Air Man read that in a Nintendo power and the other night I was just playing around with the Heat Gun and found out that one Full charge heat destroys the first Dr Wiley machine and it also works decent on Quick Man too, just a fun game I like to play around with !!!
I loved this game. I spent hours playing it and beating it. I never knew about the cheats/hacks. Only one I ever knew about was you could make mega man jump high by pressing and holding ab on the 2nd controller.
Do you do speedruns on a certain emulator? Is there one thats better or more accurate than others? How do you use a NES controller with it? Is there a certain brand that mimics this exactly? For a speedrun to qualify as a record does one have to play with certain software or controllers? Who tracks all this stuff?
I remember playing this and getting to Quick Mans level and getting so frustrated cause i couldnt figure out how to get past those insta kill line things!
