very nice, i think this is the second video that someone made about how to do it, good job!, everytime i touch a electric board while its power on, it shorts out! either i have very bad luck or i was not suppose to touch a board while its on without gloves

Thanks a lot! Well, you said it, you're not supposed to touch the board while the power is still on, only when power is off. When you do touch them, try to hold them on the edges. As you can see in my videos even that's not always as easy to do but they are okay.

Was that when Michael tried to put KITT's 'turbine' back together after he got hit by Goliath? 😄 It might look difficult but it really isn't. It can get messy if you don't keep it tidy, but once in the dash it should look better.

@@MotorScotti That's the one. Thanks for great content. Hope you're able to get your own dash soon. I personally prefer the Season 3 KITT dash and front nose but I like yours too. The Season 3 nose largely solved the frequent problem of KITT's turn signal covers frequently warping on the show during Seasons 1 and 2. KITTs turn signals were then moved to the lower foglight housing.

Instead of putting main wire directly into relay and the into switch, put main power into switch first then into relay

Hi. Excellent video. When installing kitt's dash over the stock dash, do you have to cut away any of the stock dash? Ive seen some people cutting away at the stock dash to get the kitt dash to fit?

Hi and thank you for your comment. It depends, meaning that I've seen replica builder trimming some of the factory dashboard metal frame to get the KITT dash to fit properly, others have managed without trimming. I'd say it may depend on the dashboard you're using (vendor, season, style). Since I have yet to do that on mine I can't give you a feedback based on my own experience.

This set of electronics is for a friend's car, not mine. I'm just doing the wiring and sending it back to my friend. Therefore I don't have to worry about covering the vents.
