Going by the design of old buildings, the bridges or even the existing airport, Calcutta quite deserves the title of India's Capital for Art and Culture.....However, with the moving times, the Airport needed a makeover. Apart from this, i think that people should come up to keep the city clean.......Also, riverside projects should be given priority - that way the mighty Hooghly river will get its befitting skyline in the backdrop
Further, we in India do not give much importance to our rivers - i dont know why - when most of our cities continue to be based on riversides.....Calcutta has the infrastructure right there in place with two world-famous bridges...... Old colonial buildings in Babughat remain neglected, but they have huge tourism potential.....now riverside projects, in my opinion, should be encouraged
dude, she stopped people who were taking the homes of the farming peeps and turning it into factories.who gave them the right to take their homes forcefully? she never did anything irrationally.
@dipu94321 except for the international flights, low cost airlines will use old terminal. and this video was made by goverment of india, they will try to make their own airline more popular that is indian airlines
When is this projected for 2050??Union Minister of State for Urban Development Sougata Roy said 73.6% of airport modernisation work has already been completed, the remaining work will be over by end of this year 2011 and the facilities then can be declared open for public by March 31,2011. I just visited and I saw construction going on but I don't believe 70% work is done. The airport is still a mess and it nowhere looks as its shown. Want my Kolkata to look beautiful but its in such bad shape :(
nice video, kintu mamata didi ki korte deben, una ke to chas korte bhalo lage.uni to infrastructure bhalo lage na. pl didi support for airport moderisation work.....thnx
we can only make good graphics.........even if we make it real they sure to forget to give finishing touches. Fuck the graphics lets see if they really will build something like tht in next decade or two.
@protikmaitra dude, chill.i am from kolkata and i know politics more than everyone else. but dont let it spoil the good mood im in because of the new airport
and once more i do not care.i have seen it mainly on tv and some live while going to my uncle's house.let's just stop this arguing and hope that the new airport goes up.for your info,i support infrastructure when it is built on the right place but not in places which is taken forcefully.
@protikmaitra chill. i'm not offended. guys in school buly me in school more(i am 12 years old). but i know politics more than them. i will accept the request from MrigKash soon. P.S.> who is MrigKash?
@protikmaitra ok! so it was mistake to reply to you. your name just sounded more friendly than most of the other usernames and it sounded like you are a bengali. it's months since i met a bengali in the internet.by the way, are you on facebook, we can argue more comfartably there.
dude, first of all,in the scenario,no one took law in their hands and that also goes for everyone included except tmc.and i do support infrastructure and i support the airport cause the previous one drove away many prestigous international airlines due to its runway length and poor features.and for god's sake , let us stop this arguing over tmc and cpm since nothing will change with us arguing.i somehow wished money was never invented,no corrupt people will exist. we should stop arguing
dude, bhebe bol.mamata said that people's home should not be forcefully taken and turned into factories.everyone is smart enough to realize that except you .and who you're supporting?the people who took the houses are supposed to be marxists and help the farming industry and poor people. just remember what you're saying cause you can get seriously beaten up if you something like this in kolkata
