“Oh, this tastes like eating at a restaurant… .. It is very delicious!!”
Of course~~ This is the taste of Sweet Chili Chicken sold in South Korea. The original recipe for the sauce was based on Baek Jong-won's recipe ( • Korean Fried Chicken !... ), and I've been using it for the past few years. I've made a lot with it, and it's a recipe that has been sufficiently verified through the mouths of many people, so you can trust it. For accurate taste, measure the amount of sauce accurately.
The menu called Korean Sweet Chili, which appeared in the entertainment program ‘Jinny’s Kitchen’ which is currently airing on Amazon Prime, is very similar to the mini seasoned chicken I made. If there's a slight difference, it's the difference in the concentration of the sauce and the batter, but the recipe I'm telling you is a little more delicious, so make sure to make it!
Then enjoy your meal!!
-------------------------------
[ Ingredient ]
[ Chicken Dough ]
Chicken tenderloin or breast 350g
1/2 cup of milk (100ml)
Frying powder (for the first batter) 1/2 cup (70g)
Frying powder (for the second batter) 1/2 cup (70g)
Salt 3g (1/2 tsp)
Pepper 1g (1/4 tsp)
Curry powder 1g (1/4 tsp)
[ Seasoned Chicken Sauce ]
Corn syrup or Honey 110g (1/2 cup )
Ketchup 35g (3Tbsp)
Korean red pepper paste 20g (1Tbsp)
Soy sauce 17g (1.5Tbsp)
Minced garlic 30g (2Tbsp)
Red pepper powder 7g (1tsp)
Sugar 25g (2Tbsp)
[Frying powder Recipe]
150g wheat flour
50g potato starch flour
1 tsp (4g) salt
1/2 tsp (2g) baking powder
1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
Nuts 20g
Appropriate amount of parsley and sesame seeds
Frying oil 1L
[ What is Frying powder? ]
Frying powder is a mixture of flours that usually makes fried foods crispier. I used Korean products, but Thai and Chinese products are similar. Also called Tempura flour.
Maybe you can find them at your local Asian grocery store or Amazon.
[ how to make ]
1. Prepare the chicken breast by washing and draining the water.
2. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, and curry powder.
3. Add milk to submerge the chicken and marinate for a while.
4. Put seasoned chicken sauce ingredients in a pot and boil over low heat while stirring.
5. Add frying powder to chicken marinated in milk and mix.
6. Put the frying powder in a plastic bag, add the kneaded chicken and mix evenly.
7. Put cooking oil in a large wok and preheat it to 170 degrees.
8. Fry the chicken in the preheated oil and drain the oil.
9. In a large bowl, add the fried chicken, seasoning sauce, and nuts and mix well.
10. Finish by sprinkling with sesame seeds and parsley powder.
[How to make seasoned chicken sauce]
1. Put corn syrup, ketchup, red pepper paste, soy sauce, minced garlic, red pepper powder, and sugar in a small pan and boil over low heat.
2. Stir for 3 to 5 minutes and when the sauce boils, turn off the heat and use.

Thank you for your comment, it makes me very happy to start the new year. This chicken recipe really tastes better than what you get at a professional Korean chicken restaurant. Congratulations!!! I will be uploading an upgraded fried chicken recipe this weekend. I've thinned out the sauce a bit and made the chicken crispier. It should be a fun comparison, thanks. 🥰

Made it tonight. Frying powder was interesting. Nobody around here had potato flour (Amazon had it) and I have to say, it was delicious. My daughter couldn't get enough. Spice builds but never too much, Definitely a keeper! Thank you very much. The double frying is a game changer.

My favorite comment is that people made my recipe and enjoyed it. It tastes almost the same as the recipe made by BTS's Taehyung, only the viscosity of the sauce is slightly different, but the recipe he made by mixing water in the broadcast is a cheaper version that can be made in large quantities, and my recipe tastes better. I hope you will continue to visit and love us. Thank you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@dinnerprepOh, the sauce is amazing, yeah! Even when i just mix it, before heating - it smells so delicious! I instantly get everyone summoned in the kitchen area because of divine smells it has. I was afraid the quantity of garlic will be overwhelming in the taste - but it's PERFECT amount! Also, thank you so much for frying mix recipe!!! I order Gochujang and Oligodang syrup from web stores, but i couldn't find korean fried chicken mix nowhere, only seafood ones - and it was irking me so much :D But now i can relax and make it by your recipe with common products! Thank you so much again and again! ❤

I have been living in a foreign country other than Korea for a total of 17 years, 12 years in Germany and 5 years previously in New York. So I know how difficult it is to find Korean ingredients. So I'm trying to organize the recipe with ingredients that are easily available as much as possible. Nevertheless, there are ingredients that are essential for Korean food, so I am always worried. Thank you very much for your warm comments. I wish you a happy week. 😍😍

Thank you for this recipe, it looks delicious I will definitely try to make sometime. Quick question, do you have to wash/rinse the chicken before you cut it? Also, I do not have any potato starch/flour and we do not have Amazon here. Will any other flour work?
@dinnerprep
@dinnerprep 5 месяцев назад
Thank you for the nice comment. I always wash chicken before cooking. Scientifically speaking, it may be safe without washing, but since chicken usually has a bad smell, it is better to wash it under slightly running water as it does not have a bad smell. If you don't have potato starch, you can also use normal flour. I don’t think it needs to be too crispy because the seasoning sauce cover to the outside.🥰

Hey please how did you make the powder wet. Did you add water or milk or egg? Got confused at that point. Thanks 🙏
@dinnerprep
@dinnerprep 15 дней назад
First, season the chicken with salt and pepper, soak it in milk, and refrigerate it for about 30 minutes. While waiting, you can make spicy seasoning and make frying powder by combining flour and starch powder. Take chicken that has been soaked in milk and add frying powder to it to make a thick batter. 😊 I tried to make the video as easy to understand as possible, but since these dishes are unfamiliar to your country, the overall process may not be well understood. Now, if you watch the video again, you will understand better. 😁 If you have any further questions, please leave a comment at any time. thank you!!

Hi new here, I stumbled upon your video when I was searching up sauces because I am trying to open up a small home chicken business with korean sauces, and I am here to ask if you have measurements for big batches that I can copy ? cause I want my sauces to be authentic as possible.
@carolinecahatol3039
@carolinecahatol3039 6 месяцев назад
Also, what kind of milk is it ?
@dinnerprep
@dinnerprep 6 месяцев назад
First of all, I hope your business succeeds. You can also make a large batch using the sauce ratio I listed in the recipe. There is no need to worry about the taste of the sauce because it is a taste that all Koreans will recognize and like. However, if the sauce is too thick, you may need to add a little water to adjust the viscosity. Milk removes unpleasant odors from chicken and softens the meat, but it is not a necessary process. I think it would be a good idea to compare when adding milk and when replacing it with water before making a decision. The milk I mainly use is regular cow milk with a fat percentage of 3.5%. 😍👍

Nuts 20g Appropriate amount of parsley and perilla seeds Frying oil 1L ............. Perilla seeds?? am I just blind, or is there no mention of Perilla seeds, other than the one mention?
@dinnerprep
@dinnerprep 7 месяцев назад
Sorry for the inconvenience At the end of the video, there is a scene of sprinkling parsley powder and perilla seeds, but since it does not affect the taste of the dish, no detailed explanation is given. Nuts do not significantly affect the taste, but adding them makes it more delicious. This is because allergies are often a problem and you can use your favorite nuts depending on individual taste, so I did not mention the detailed types. If you have any other questions, please let me know in the comments. thank you 🥰
@dinnerprep
@dinnerprep 7 месяцев назад
I think I translated it wrong. sorry. It would be more accurate to say sesame seeds rather than perilla seeds. What Koreans usually sprinkle at the end is sesame seeds. Thanks to you, I was able to edit the content. 😍😍
