Mabuhay! 안녕하세요! Ako si Jinyong!
What first comes to your mind when it's cold!? As you may know already it's winter season in Korea. Last week, it went down to -10 degrees and I was almost frozen...Regardless of the weather in Korea, I just wanted to film video with my friends so I brought Lumpia to my friends so that my friends can feel warm while they're eating! Out of different kinds of Lumpia, I brought two of my favorite Lumpia: Fried and Banana Lumpia! Both are also known as Lumpiang prito and Turon respectively right?
Today in the video, I'll introduce Lumpia which is one of the most popular snacks in the Philippines. Will Lumpia taste nice in the cold weather in Korea? Will my friends like them? If so, which one will they choose to prefer? Let's find out together!
Oh! Please don’t forget to follow my Facebook and Instagram!

I’m a Korean who really loves the Philippines 🙂
And that’s the reason why I started to learn TAGALOG!
Though I’m really not good at speaking Tagalog now, I would like to speak really fluently like a native speaker someday!
I made this channel to introduce Filipino culture to all the foreigners including my Korean friends. (and Korean culture to Filipino as well!)
I really hope people know Philippines more and more by watching my videos!

Thanks for watching always! And sorry for late upload! There seemed to be an error uploading video on RU-vid so I couldn't help uploading video later than I expected 😭😭 Anyway next video will be uploaded on Christmas eve! I know Filipino's favorite holiday is coming soon! So I and my friends prepared one video for you guys to watch! As I and my friends are in Korea now we can't spend our Christmas in the Philippines, so I let them try some of Christmas foods in the Philippines! Do you like Bibingka and Puto Bumbong? If so, don't miss it!! 😜😜 Thank you always for your support!😍😍

Actually in Philippines lumpia is usually dip in vinegar with a bit of sugar ,black pepper for the turon you should deep fry it so the banana will be properly cook then add sugar while its frying wait until it caramelized don't let get dark coz it will taste bitter .. Fighting oppa! Oh your friends are handsome ..

Lumpiang sariwa is the typical Chinese spring rolls, but paired with garlic sauce, you also forgot lumpiang munggo, made with red munggo beans, cooked first in milk or coconut milk with sugar and add some margarine, then when cooked and cooled down, put in lumpia wrapper then deep fried, can be served with it self warm or cold,

you did extremely well @Oppa Jinyong for introducing our local food. It really depends on the person on what dipping sauce they prefer. Some like it with ketchup, or the vinegar sauce. So don't worry :) Thank you for highlighting filipino foods on your vlog. Personally, I prefer to eat lumpia without any sauce on it.

@@OppaJinyong thanks for introducing Filipino food to Koreans and I'm happy that they enjoyed LUMPIA. I just want say to say that you there is a specific kind of banana used for TURON, we call it "Saging na Saba", its a fat variety of banana originated in the Philippines. It is so versatile, you can Steam it, fry it (banana-Q or battered saba banana we call "maruja"), eat it raw, add it on a stew and mashed. Hope you can let Koreans "Banana-Q" I bet everyone will love it. Thanks and keep it up.

Anyeong Oppa Jinyong...Kamsahamnida for featuring Filipino Food... I just wanted to add that Lumpiang (Prito) Gulay goes with a sauce which is combination of vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger, red/green chili. There's another version of that called Lumpiang Ubod (Fresh Lumpia), with fresh vegetables and young bamboo shoots topped with garlic, nutty sweet sauce. We call it Lumpiang Hubad (means naked) if you remove the lumpia wrapper, and just eat vegetables, sometimes you can add ground pork/shrimp for added protein. A very good appetizer. We also have Lumpiang Shanghai, its ground pork version with some minced potato, carrots, celery and other spices like black pepper... We don't call Turon as lumpia, it's just Turon, one way to cook the SABA (we have hundreds or more types of banana, we have different colors like red green, yellow and sizes from as big as a thumb to a ruler size). We also cook SABA as banana cue, maruya, saba con yelo. That's all. I hope i gave you more information. Maraming salamat...Hope i can meet you here in the Philippines...Paalam... and Ingat palagi...

The guy talking about having turon as business and as breakfast is a smart guy.. the saba banana when boiled is considered breakfast food in the morning. It is great food for athletes and those who wanna maintain weight because it is filling and has alot of vitamins and minerals.

Don't forget we also have what is referred to as lumpiang sariwa (served wrapped using the lumpia wrapper) but in some places they offer what is aptly named lumpiang hubad since it only serves the filling... wrapping not included hence the name! It's a perfect summer dish since its light and healthy!

2 of my faves! You can actually put minced pork sauteed with green beans (baguio beans), bean sprouts (toge), sweet potato, turnips (singkamas) or any crispy veg to your liking wrapped in Lumpia (springroll) wrapper cook 2 ways either fried or fresh when wrapped in egg wrapper.
