The original title of Scream was Scary Movie, that's where the name comes from.

Fun fact scary movie was actually the original title of Scream but they decided to go with scream. Scary movie is honestly funny asf which parodies scream, I know what you did last summer, the Blair witch project, the matrix, the sixth sense, the usual suspects, and Dawsons creek.

It brought me sooooooooo much joy seeing that he was right about the killer ☺️

All these years of watching movies and STILL Doofy remains one of the most memorable performances for me. It's so played up to ridiculous heights, I don't even find it offensive or anything lmao. And this is coming from someone who grew up with a brother with special needs.

Scary Movie is one of the greatest parody movies of all time. It was something new fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated due to it's witty and clever dialogue and humor, comedic moments, and performance's by the cast. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍

Honestly this is the reason why I love it when Ghostface is portrayed as a more comedic killer, think it makes him unique in a way, though I also would understand why people also love a serious Ghostface, I just prefer his goofy adaptation

You noticed so many things that I never noticed before as many times as I’ve seen these.

* Scream: Most of the plot is a Scream parody. The main characters mirror Scream’s and the film centers on figuring out who’s killing people while wearing a Ghostface mask. There are also a few direct references to Scream, including one character saying it didn’t have a plot and another saying their lives are just like Scream, “same dialogue and everything.” * I Know What You Did Last Summer: The other major plot points mock IKWYDLS. Cindy (Anna Farris) and her crew hit a guy on a dark road with their car and throw him off a pier even though he’s not dead. When Ghostface starts killing, they suspect their accident victim. I highly recommend you watch some of the movies referenced in this, especially The Exorcist since you said you’re too scared to watch it. That would be epic. It truly will live up to that expectation. Also, watch I know what you did last summer, and finally, one that’s not scary but extremely satisfying to watch is The Usual Suspects!

Great reaction! The first time i watched this about 20 years ago, when i saw the what happened when Bobby came i was laughing for about 5 minutes. I recommend you check out the sequels, most are pretty good and go into other areas mostly of horror parody, but other films too in the odd scene. I also recommend you watch I Know What You Did Last Summer and you'll better understand a few scenes in this one.

Lol so for this Scary Movie they were making fun of Scream, Scream 2, I know what you did last summer and the Matrix. - "I know what you did last summer" which is with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddy Prinze Jr. and Ryan Phillippe the scene with them driving and hitting that guy on the road, the beauty pagent, the letter, and the hook is from that movie. The character Buffy on Scary Movie is named after Sarah Michelle Gellars character on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" who also played CiCi on Scream 2 and Daphne on Scooby-Doo. The character Ray on Scary Movie is the name Freddy Prinze Jr. had for his character on "IKWYDLS". He was also Fred on Scooby-Doo. (Sarah and Freddy are actually married in real life lol). Buffys boyfriend Greg in Scary Movie his last name is Phillippe after Ryan Phillippe who plays "Berry" in "IKWYDLS". - The character Cindy Campbell is obviously Sidney from Scream with Neves last name. She also plays Jennifer Love Hewitt character "Julie" in "IKWYDLS" The opening of Scary Movie who plays "the Casey Becker" from Scream the character name in the movie is Drew Decker as in Drew Barrymore but with Casey Beckers last name but with a D. Gail Hailstorm is a pretty easy guess same with Doofy lol. - When Cindy and Bobby were making out in her bedroom and the guy that came to the window "Sorry wrong set". That was James Van Der Beek who played Dawson in a 90's tv sitcom "Dawson's Creek". The song that was playing while they were making out was the opening soundtrack to his show that's why he popped up lol.
