Even though this movie is falsly marketed and a weird story for your final movie, Coreys Actor nailed this role. I wouldn't of been mad if they made him the next Michael Myers. The man did a phenomenal job.

What made *no* sense to me was when Michael "powered up" after killing that guy. But before that, the homeless guy was like "He takes people in there every now and then" So why didn't those kills power him up?

The peacock has been NBC’s logo since 1956, and the network has been called “the Peacock” pretty much since the early 60’s, hence the name for the streaming offshoot.

the movie at 3:59 is "The thing" i highly recommend it, its one of the best practical horror movies

The novelization is better than the film. It has more flashbacks, more kills from Michael, and the characters are developed more. Also the ending of the novelization has a mode ominous tone compared to the optimistic ending of the film. The novelization confirms Michael's evil is supernatural and can infect people. Many people are infected in flashbacks and of course Corey got infected and by the end Laurie does too.

"That doesn't seem very Michael Myers to work with someone else." Sometimes you have to ask yourself: what do you really *know* about Michael Myers to understand his motivations? He's always been the absense of character, and I appreciate that they've added this bit of him seeming indifferent yet curious about others who share dark intentions. I mean the older films and even 2018 have shown he doesn't seem to bother other Smith's Grove patients, so why wouldn't he pair up with someone who's becoming increasingly violent and deranged?

I really love this movie the theme of it is that evil comes in different shapes.

I personally really liked that it was a slow burn, character study kind of thing. My personal headcanon is that Michael's evil is so potent it can corrupt others, and this movie kinda leans into that idea. I also found the ending way more satisfying than H20.

(1978)Halloween is my go to movie for Halloween. Sorry... 🤷 Laurie taking that lonely walk home. Innocently, carrying a pumpkin with John Carpenter's eerie music filling the scene with all sorts of uneasiness and tension. Wow! that's a classic.

So the moral of this movie is if you need a babysitter you call Steve Harrington lol My favorite Halloween movies are Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman and Reanimator. One thing I do appreciate about this movie is this is how I found out they remade Hardy Boys and it's really good!

Dear Alex/Puggapillar,the reason micheal is so weak is because hes 65 years old and hasnt killed in 5 years(in kills laurie says the more he kills,the stronger he gets) also the reason micheal was sidelined was because this was a anthology halloween movie which was the original idea for the halloween movies (they wanted to make movies about scary things that happen on halloween,and this one was about how the most kind person can be turned into a psycopath just by staring into the eyes of pure evil).The reason micheal wasnt killing corey was because corey was helping him get his strength back .I took my time to write you this comment to answer to your confusion, Best Regards -kefte

The reason why Cory easily push down Michael was because Michael gave him some of his powers including strength and swiftness and Michael Myers is already weak at the time since he got brutally beat up in the last movie Hope this helps

i think what people fundamentally misunderstand is the time of everything and the fallout. Putting Corey in 2018, people would have had the same complaint and it probably wouldnt havent even led to a sequel. To be Laurie's story, it had to go that way In contrast, putting Corey in Kills instead still doesnt work, its the same night and there's still no time to develop a new character in that film either. The final film is the only way it worked, and with them writing Kills and Ends simultaneously, im sure they long realized that. Ends starts in 2019 nd they takes us up to 2022, i think people forget that when they judge how the characters are behaving. Everything that happens in the movie is a direct result of Michael's 2018 massacre. There's also a romanticized view of Myer's in the past franchise movies, but when we go back its a few things are apparent: Michael has always brutalized the supporting cast, but fumbled over the main character. Whether its Laurie with a knitting needle and coat hanger, or Rachel spraying him with a fire extinguisher, even though he previously killed an entire precinct full of armed cops... Its Tommy Doyle with magic rocks, or a lead pipe,etc. the list goes on. Last, the older films never had Michael's damage carry over into the next installment. His eyes were shot out in H2, H4 ignored that, and so on with 5,6,etc. with 2018 we see his eye damage from H1 and obviously his fingers didnt grow back in Kills. In the sewer, he's infected and dying, and even then still stronger than any human should be, as the amount it takes for Laurie to kill him in the end shows. They foreshadowed his death in 2018 by way of Loomis as well. After all, supernatural doesnt mean immortal

One thing I will say I liked about this movie is how it portrays the town of Haddonfield in the aftermath of Michael's rampage. It's no longer the quiet, picturesque town it used to be. It's almoat a cesspool of darkness now. The citizens are traumatized, angry, and grieving. They're hurting themselves, hurting each other. And what happens with Corey and Jeremy only adds to it. I think the movie did well with that.

I'm so glad this isn't the Halloween movie you ended the franchise with! It was just awful. Now that you've finished one Laurie Strode timeline her alternate timeline is Halloween, Halloween 2 (1981) and H20, which is Halloween 7. It's a requel that erases parts 4-6 & it would be frickin awesome if you could find time to check them out sometime in the future 🙏

I'm pretty okay with this movie and how Michael was weakened. It would be complained about a lot more if Michael was full strength and killed. As for why Michael was weak compared to after being in the institution for 40 years well, all the movie sagas and reboots are based on the first movie and the comics/ books about Michael while he was in the institution as a kid, and he managed to kill a bunch of people in there. So, he'd been killing through those 40-years and from what I can tell killing to him is like eating and drinking to us, plus maybe working out. He only managed to stay alive in the sewers through scraps given to him by a homeless man. Halloween kills was like Thanksgiving, you eat a bunch and feel full for a while, but it doesn't last years. He became stronger as the movie went on because he was getting back into the killing but didn't kill enough to keep up with the kid or survive having his throat slit for too long. But I do wish Laurie also died in the end. Would have made this story feel complete.

Michael Myers is only human in this trilogy. Hes got four years of untreated wounds, illness and injuries. Not to mention hes 65 years old and living in a sewer for four years.

The new trilogy was about The Evil...not Michael... Everybody have their Evil side and its shown the mayham the Evil created in Kills. Apparently the novelizations are way better do I recently bough them on Amazon just waiting for them to arrive... in the novelization, I heard that they say that the Evil in Michael is like a spirit...

I think the reason most people dislike this movie is because we didn't get to see much of Michael Myers and when we did it seemed like he got weaker possibly due to the beating he took in the previous movie. I was expecting Corey to survive though because it really seemed like they were setting him up to be Michael's successor.

Disagree with your score. This was my favorite of the trilogy. The Laurie/Michael stuff seemed tacked on and Corey's transformation was 10x more interesting so killing him at the end made it all feel pointless.

*Monster Squad* is a movie that I have always loved because it respected that kids watch F-d up stuff and maybe that’s not the worst thing! 🤷🏾‍♂️ coulda used a black friend in the movie but I still felt represented as a kid horror fan! When I was 6 I got super sick for almost a week and my mom rented me Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and I watched it over and over. That was back in the day where buying the vhs would have been either very expensive or used!

In the 1978 movie they showed the little girl baby sat by annie watching the original thing from the 1950's. In this one they showed the thing 1982 the remake by John Carpenter which is better then the original and Carpenter's #2 best film behind Halloween. Always found the kitchen of the house at the start to be so plain and small, and the whole house looks bigger then a hardware warehouse. Old lady that committed suicide on the side of the house is the mom of Oscar the kid who got killed on the gate in 2018. Remember she saw his body in the hospital morgue in kills, she also hung herself with her son's costume from 2018 which was a nice, macabre touch.

Corey is stunted adult who got bullied by a kid so it makes sense that the lowest bullies would pick on him. He’s the nerd from Christine using evil to get power. Everybody knows that MM was never supposed to be the main focus and working under the strict rule from Carpenter and the owner of the IP to not develop a backstory for MM what did people expect them to do? Kills was MM’s movie with 31 kills and it’s still wasn’t enough? MM don’t care about Laurie so clearly he had to be lured to her house to get his mask back. He cares about his window view and the mask. That’s it. If it was all about the showdown the film would be 20 mins. People already got the MM focused storylines with 4-6, the reason storyline with 2, H20 and Resurrection.

This movie would’ve honestly worked a lot better if Corey was introduced in Halloween Kills or even the 2018 Halloween movie. Corey as a character isn’t bad in my opinion, but I think him and this movie do get a lot of hate due to him taking much more of a spotlight from Michael. I will agree that this movie was HEAVILY mismarketed but I'm glad that it's something different rather than getting the same movie for the third time, which is why I love Ends a lot more than Kills and 2018

I found it to be a nice change. They have made 11 movies (minus Halloween 3 and Ends) about the same thing over and over... Michael kills people and that's it. Cory was a nice kid who accidentally killed a kid which brought on depression and loneliness. The evil inside Michael saw the same evil buried inside Cory.

Just to help you navigate through the rest when/if you decide to watch to avoid confusion of timelines: ORIGINAL TIMELINE/CARPENTER: 1978, 2, H20, Resurrection MIDDLE TIMELINE 1978, 2, 4,5,6 TRILOGY 1978, 2018, Kills, Ends You finished the most recent, so I'd recommend finishing the original timeline first before the "middle" timeline. (Going to call it that to not spoil it)

I think the movie itself is good, but I agree with you that its execution wasn't the best. I think if Corey had been introduced a bit earlier and some characters had continuity between Kills and here it would have worked better. I'm new to your channel but I'm loving your commentary, keep it up and have a great day!

I will say the trilogy wasn’t Michael’s, 2018 was Laurie and the Strode’s, Kills was Michael’s and this one was more of an ensemble, Laurie, Allyson, Michael, Corey’s and the first movie was very slow paced until the last 20 ish minutes, while the trailers did lie about the plot, Jamie Lee and David Gordon green had stated countless times that this was more like the original in storytelling and pacing (Michael is incredibly weak from the events of 2018 and kills, all of that happened on the same night, no matter if he got a bit of his strength back he’s very much not 100% as shown in his breathing) but love your reactions man keep up the good work 🤝💯
