this was in the Chains of Olympus storyline Kratos saw Calliope in the Underworld and was tricked by Persephone into giving up all his powers just so he could see her again Persephone then revealed that she planned on destroying the whole world and Elysium Fields would also be doomed in order to save his daughter, Kratos had to leave her again and suffer the consequences of never being able to be with her again he killed all the souls in Elysium except for Calliope and regained his powers, he then chased Persephone down and killed her, but she cursed him and said that his suffering will never end, and she was right, it never did after Kratos killed Hades, the Underworld was left in shambles, all the souls escaped and had no place to go, I assume Elysium Fields also collapsed? well, if Calliope's soul was also one of those that left the Underworld, she's probably still alive out there, as a wandering lost spirit

The fact we are in two games in & Atreus, knows his Greek heritage, knowing he's the grandson of Zeus, but still not knowing his dad had another family before & had a older sister & why his skin is the way it is... something tells me we are set for big emotional angry revelation scene. i think Kratos doesn't like to talk about his previous family, if he talk about it to Atreus, meaning he must talk about how they died, for teenager like Atreus, that story is horrifying, moreover when it comes from your father and he are the one who caused it.

Atreus already knows the gist of what his father has done. Destroyed the greece pantheon, killed his father and many other gods cuz revenge for his former family, but Atreus doesnt really care too much about Kratos' past. He cares more about Kratos' present and future.

man you can hear the pain in his voice, and how traumatized he is from it. "worse, *it was.* " summoning his daughters soul in elysium just to screw with his mind is on an absolutely different level of messed up.. thats how you break a man. imagine the absolute WILLPOWER of kratos to push her away despite knowing shes not just an illusion, and thats its really his daughter...
@neo-warkid4edwards222
@neo-warkid4edwards222 3 месяца назад
it was even worse than Ares' attempt to break Kratos using illusions of Lysandra and Calliope and then stealing the Blades of Chaos from him to "kill" them again despite Kratos' best efforts. because in that sequence, they weren't really there in the first place. not even the Furies; illusionist extraordinaires went as far as to use the souls of the REAL Lysandre and Calliope to tempt Kratos back into service to Ares.

The "innocents" would have rightly thrown him under the bus because he was a power-hungry mass-murderer, and not everyone would've suffered in hades. If they weren't evil, they'd go to elysium as mentioned here, only the wicked stayed in Hades. Im not even a hater of kratos, he redeemed himself somewhat, but he was unquestionably evil when he was younger, doesn't matter if the rest of olympus was evil as well.
