They better not. There are no microphones in the opera house. Kristen doesn't have an operatic voice, though, she has a Broadway show tunes voice. So big!
@@renoirmedical6412 i think what the original commenter meant was that since she was trained in opera singing, she knows how to project her voice. just guessing, i don’t have enough knowledge about singing to actually talk about it.
@@zakariashartley Oh really. What does that even mean? She doesn't limit herself to singing opera so...? She earned a bachelor's degree in musical theater, and a master's degree in opera performance. She had a full scholarship to Philadelphia's Academy of Vocal Arts. She turned it down after impulsively auditioning for and winning a part in the musical Animal Crackers. She then decided to pursue a career in musical theater. In other words, she trained as an opera singer and had the opportunity to be a "full time" opera singer. She chose a different road and went on to perform in a variety of different music, theater, and acting genres. If you paid attention at all, you would realize the she retains and maintains her opera chops, and uses them when they are required for a role.
Kristin's version makes me cry just like Dolly's 🥲😢😭😭😭😭 Whitney's version makes me be in awe with how powerful it is. Dolly & Kristin sound to me like they're crying and heartbroken while Whitney sounds strong, powerful, and accepting of the fate of never seeing her love again.
Find it hilarious how people can say she's lip syncing yet you can also hear her speaking and laughing into the same microphone. A microphone doesn't have to be stupidly close to your mouth for it to pick up a voice.
Ryan Edgell not a rumor. In 2009 Dolly did a special with Carrie Underwood and she told Carrie she was working on a bio epic movie about her life and she said she wanted Kristin to play her. But idk what happened guess it never went through.
lmao ppl who think she's lipsyncing have just been confused by their first time seeing a sensitive mic and a singer who actually knows how to project her voice
I don't blame the poor people that can't tell that this is live🤦🏻♀️. They're so used to listening to autotuned recordings, they think sounding perfect while on live TV is impossible. This is what professionally trained singers actually can do. This should be the normal.
Today's audiences often times seem unengaged, unappreciative. But the consummate performer, Chenoweth, here "hushes the house" as the entire crowd drinks in every beautiful note. Just lovely.
She's so amazing. I first heard about her from the Wicked Musical and I've been enchanted by her ever since. She has such a great voice and _(of course I cannot judge her just by the few videos I've seen but still)_ she seems to have a nice personality as well.
It didn't make me cry, but she did something beautiful with the song, as the original creator, writer, and singer of the song, Dolly Parton did. Whitney also did an incredible version of the song. All three women brought a piece of themselves to the song that is individual to them. None can take away from them what they did. My personal preference is Whitney's version, but that doesn't mean I disrespect the beauty that Dolly and Kristen brought to their interpretation. It's just a beautiful song all around and Dolly was the genius who wrote and allowed the other two women to sing it.
Not going to get into the Whitney vs Dolly vs Kristen debate, but the accusation that she is lip syncing is ridiculous. She stops and talks, at the end her voice gets wobbly from crying. She did work that all into a recording beforehand?
This is a voice that should sing lullabies so we could play them for the kids at night, that is a soft yet strong voice that would put a baby to sleep 100% and make them dream beautiful dreams
Absolutely beautiful, i enjoyed Kristen's performance very much. My favorite has always been Dolly , but Kristen was so close to what Dolly intended this song to convey when she wrote it, yet still made it her own version❤
This song always makes me cry when sung like it's meant to be! Not bellowed out with no feeling! Love Kristen singing this Dolly Parton opus! She made me cry just like Dolly does! ❤😢
This was so beautiful...I loved seeing Kristen doing something a little different, and this is a wonderful interpretation of the song, with so much emotion! Brava!
I have never liked any rendition except for the original, the master, the queen- Dolly Parton. But oh my goodness gracious me! Miss Kirsten, you have moved me, your voice is out of this world.
Amazing rendition. Something in it that is so unique compare to other covers that ive heard before. Emotions are very much expressed and felt in every single words and in between! Amazing! Beautiful!
Oh my god I love her so much. I'm going to miss her when she's gone. I'm in tears right now, this is so beautiful and it makes me think of happy yet sad thoughts at the same time
i first saw her on glee playing an alcoholic. she is angelic with all she does. her voice is angelic, along with her presentation. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU! 😊❤
WOW. I didn't know until tonight that Kristen sings so beautifully well. I heard her on Sirius Broadway radio stunning Over the Rainbow. Such a rich, as in decadent cake batter voice. Broken Arrow also has a killer marching band.
