Fabricated mower deck is a must have.

You can dismount the T2290 and the engine will keep running if you set the park brake. Seat comfort is controlled by spring tension and helps allot. Turning radius is great. Deck had to be adjusted for level, fairly easy procedure. Rear tow bracket and pin hole is pretty light duty. Visability is great. Easy to get on and off. I have the accessory light duty snow blade. Mine is a 42" deck, two blade. Deck is heavy duty. Kawasaki engine starts fast and runs smooth. Frame appears to be stronger than all the other tractors in its class. I looked at all the compitition before buying the T2290. Premium price! Replaced my 20 year old Wheel Horse.

Thanks for doing this video. I've been looking at this mower for 2 years and no one advertises it or reviews it. I was worried about the 2 pedal design but after seeing you use it, i think i will be ok with it. i have loved the single pedal design for the last 30 years on Kubota mowers. Thanks again.

Kubota should have all maintenance and how to disconnect the deck and care .. Nothing that I can find . very disappointing support for the price they charge.

I have a Z726X and it has been nothing but a pain in the butt. I got the upgraded engine Kaw 801v POS engine. over 12k for it would never buy another one. With just 300.3 hrs on it. Once again going in for service.

How does it compare to Simplicity? There's has automatic controlled traction, electric deck height adjustment, and suspension. Does the Kubota have a locking diff?

They are shaft driven as well.

they are belt driven. you have to thread the belt from the engine through the back and like 5 pulleys then the funnest part is putting the spring tensioner back on to finish it. very sloppy -cheap engineering.. dont even think about the main drive belt. its 60 dollars then almost 3 hrs labor to change due to having to decouple the tranny and engine. no gas gauge. I had a older Diesel Kubota and it would put these new ones to shame. The engines are good though but slow.....

I am having too many issues on my T2290 and I can’t get service because of the local dealer Norwood (New Zealand) doesn’t reply messages or answer phones.

My only question is Does it have a locking diff? This is make or break for me as i have to have a locking diff

Does not - big miss as you can get stuck on mild hills, especially on damp turf. Otherwise great machine.

Parts manuals not available and the workshop manual is $80. Cant find one grease zerk on the machine. Further reviews to follow, just bought mine.

It seems that all riding mowers are for grass. Are there any out there that can cut weeds that are 2 ft tall and almost an inch thick? Having a fully enclosed deck just pushes down the weeds such that the blades can't cut them.

No the belt is not quick fix and will cost several hundred dollars. And the oil filter access requires the main body panels to be removed.

Now tell the buying public about how much it costs to replace a drive belt, hint about a grand... yes a thousand dollars for a fifty buck part that will wear out and break. That is not in the brochure for sure. Fix it Kubota.

You got ripped off. If you are talking about the deck drive belt, they are a little pricey at $85 and if you are talking about the transmission drive belt that would cost you $28. Buying public you have been warned.
