The first takedown in that sequence is really similar to a takedown we have in HEMA in Ringen. Where your forearm or elbow presses their neck back and you use that in addition to pulling their knee up to throw them over your thigh or trip them over your leg.

One of the best KF flow drills I’ve seen. Similar but Way better than any of the Two Man Sets I’ve learned. Lmao at the ending

That first ground technique, side control reversal would never ever work in a bjj club...

Tapping to make your opponent let go would never work outside BJJ

I tend to agree with you. People get so offended when you point things like that out. Jiu Jitsu has turned to wrestling and some Judo in Chinese wrestling fill in the gap bjj has with stand up, when submissions won't work because BJJ is most certainly expert in submissions and escapes people get all mad

Why learn Jiu Jitsu? I'd rather learn, Shuai jiao, judo, Sambo. I feel like people who say " just learn jiu jitsu" don't want people learn something other than their chosen art. Must suck for you if jiujutsu is expensive for you, I'm not about help subsidize your style because you need more competitors in-order to get better.

@@Projectdarksource I do BJJ, Judo and Japanese Jujutsu and Kungfu so am pretty qualified to say, I agree with you. Sambo is excellent, look at Khabib. China influenced every nation around it at the time, a lot of their martial arts was imported into Japan. BJJ is stolen Kosen Judo anyway. Catch wrestling too is great.

Elvin Gallisa Lozada this is the original kungfu wrestling technique shuai jiao that is still trained by northern kungfu and mongols. Most of the Southern kungfu clans removed from their syllabus thinking that Chin Na (joint locking) alone is good enough. Northern Chinese are bigger and stronger so the southerners forget wrestling stronger foes. Chin Na and floor fighting were later removed when wushu was formed and took over kungfu administration. Great job to Sifu Greg for bringing back all those old moves restoring kungfu to its origin

The common origin of martial arts through the world is a myth.
