Sin efectos especiales, sin grandes presupuestos..... Solo Karate en estado puro con movimientos perfectos, la mejor película japonesa que he visto hasta ahora.
Actually, all culture bores me to be honest. It’s all brainwashed bullshit from previous generations talking about how their “way” of living is better than everyone else’s. Don’t pretend other nations have a crystal clear past mate.
I had learn 4 martial art, 1. Karate shotokan brown 4.. 2. Wtf world taekwondo faderation 4th dan.. 3. Muaythai.. 4. Silat gayong merah cula 1.... but the most beatiful pattrn of movement for me is shotokan karate katas
If you haven't seen the Movie BlackBelt then you don't know! These guys really put something special in it! Loved the fights scenes especially the one when the Japanese show up to the dojo in the woods, Only do Blocks, WHAT? Hai Sensei One to Buy! Been in the martial arts for a very long time 35 yrs plus 15 yrs of that teaching, when I hit 40 I was teaching 2hrs at night then rolling into BJJ, workout with the MMA guys and I keep doing research of different MA and history of them its so much fun just one of many hobbies.
I've been practicing martial arts for a long time now, nearly 15 years. I've earned black belts in Tang Soo Do and jujitsu, and now practice MMA and Shotokan karate. I have double graded in Shotokan twice in a row in one year (i am now at green belt level), and i can honestly say that shotokan is my favourite martial art. This video is awesome and captures the spirit of all martial arts perfectly, thanks for uploading :D
Thank you so much this is amazing I grew up before the internet and as far as the martial arts this is a very well piece so captivating in the performance that I hope it resurrects the attention of traditional martial arts in our modern day
this movie really gave me the vibes of Yin and Yang Yin is The one with the moustache, the one that always attacks first. Yang is the one that always parries, almost as if his parries are his attacks. The Circle in the middle of Yin and Yang, is the one that has the broken arm
@@williamsullivan321 I knew that the Okinawa styles all came from the same root, but really did not know that they ALL continued in an almost parallel path over the years. I’m glad that they have kept the original techniques and basic kata form intact over the years. There is the age old argument of which is better, Kung Fu or Karate. I believe that the man that is greatly qualified to answer this argument, Bruce Lee, said “ It is the man that makes the art, not the art that makes the man.” He further stated the difference between Kung Fu and Karate is that; “Kung Fu is sophistication and finesse, Where Karate is simplicity and power, and both are effective when skillfully applied.”
Yes and no. Shorin Ryu is what Shotokan used to be. Gichin Funakoshi took it to Japan from Okinawa, and Shorin Ryu evolved into Shotokan on Mainland Japan. Shorin Ryu stemmed from Shuri-te from the Shuri region in Okinawa. Goju Ryu stemmed from Naha-te from the Naha region in Okinawa. Both Okinawan styles, yes, but from different regions with different developments and evolutions, and with different kata. If I remember correctly, I believe Goju Ryu has either eight or 12 kata. Meanwhile Shorin Ryu/Shotokan has over 20 kata. Again, both styles have Okinawan origins, but with different developments and evolutions.
