@@StsFiveOneLima honestly imo i dont think he did. did you see the front stretch how much faster Larson was? i think going into 3 was absolute full send for Busch. it was all out and just got in enough to upset Larson and take the win.
@@StsFiveOneLima watch 0:40 - 0:53... Larson closed 300 yards on the front stretch. what saved Busch... was Busch... The previous lap... His brother. He pulled up in front of Larson just enough to hold him back, just enough that on the next lap KB would get into the back of Larson... Transpiring into the events we saw. You dont have to let off the throttle to run someone over... KB ran Larson down not letting off the throttle. It was an all out move that paid off for KB. Also he would not have to sand bag to plug it into Larson because Larson put KB into the wall just before.
NASCAR Nerd 34 seriously. I hate 18 as a driver, but I think the bigger take away was there was a moment of ACTUAL racing like back when it used to be good
Most definitely, that's racing right there. Still almost busted my TV seeing Busch win though, he's such a douchebag. Can't stand him or Toyota for that matter.
As an European, I cannot understand how going round and round in an oval, pretty much flat out all the way is exciting. Is it the accidents, or the frequent changes in leadership that u guys love?! To me it's very unnatural to see someone gaining a position just by making the guy in front crash and everyone being ok with it... Doesn't look like skill at all, just brute force.
This race is an example of what could save NASCAR, WE NEED THIS RACING. If you think this finish was bad, just don’t watch then. Have it your way. I also have to mention what a fantastic job Dale Jr did today. And honestly, Rick Allen didn’t do terrible and I love the Letarte, Junior tandem
That was one of the best finishes and races we've seen in a while, I was entertained throughout a majority of the race. Gutted as a Larson fan yet again, but that's hard racing between the two, they both knew what would happen in situations like this. A phenomenal finish to end the race! I was entertained. Hope to see how the 2nd half of the season pans out for the 2018 season!
Orange Striker Gaming that made me so happy. I wanted jimmy to win roval. That would probably be his last win, but atleast he took out truex. That gave everyone a great laugh.
This one is actually close to that race. To me this ended the low of the sport and ratings are showing it 1 year later. Also larson had to run him down which you rarely see that close to the finish. This is a top 5 finish ever
Good racing, great broadcast, fantastic finish!!! Kyle Busch is absolutely correct. If you didn't like that, don't watch because you don't understand how racing works and you will never like anything about racing. We needed that really bad. Not everybody is going to realize that right now but when you wake up, you'll really appreciate what happened!
For everyone crying about how Kyle nudged Larson and spun him, just remember 2 things 1. Larson hit Busch first and 2. Dale Sr. did the same thing in 1999 to Terry Labonte at Bristol
Now THIS is why I am and always will be a NASCAR fan. People can talk shit about the cars, the boring tracks, and TV ratings all they want, but this is why many of us still watch.
Great race all the way through, if Larson is fine with it everyone should be fine with it. Larson shoving Busch into the wall was dirty and Busch turning Larson was dirty, and that is fine. It was eye for an eye and this is the type of racing NASCAR was built on.
Silvie Gang more proof that Kyle crybaby Busch is the most overrated biggest prick no talent bum NASCAR has ever had cant win without wrecking others better than him
Larson didn't do it intentionally though. He misjudged the fender distance when trying to slide back up behind Busch. He wasn't able to hold the bottom line and slid. Busch just went into his typical last move and flatout wrecked Larson. Flooring into the turn.....
Larson should have recognized that move was coming. And stayed right by Busch’s side going into 3 so he couldn’t pull a move like that. Great race nonetheless.
If you were leading the race and got put into the wall with half a lap to go, tell me you wouldn't bump the same guy going into turn 3 for the win.... Lol
The two Kyles giving NASCAR the shot of adrenaline it needed this year. Clear cut, doesn't matter whether there was intent when Larson slid up into Busch or not. You could tell from the in-car with Larson darting his glance to his mirror down the backstretch he was thinking 1 of 2 things. 1 - He messed up by hitting him. 2 - He messed up by not hitting him hard enough. Larson is a damned good driver, and it's just a matter of time before he breaks through with a string of wins of his own getting so many "1 on 1" lessons from KB.
AMD Productions larson came from a long way back and hit him hard turned right as he did knowing that would put larson in a slide. Dont care that was a dirty win. enjoy your win
Had no idea this happened until much later. I was watching onboard a flight until my connection cut out with 6 to go. Then saw that Kyle Busch won and thought "of course..", but had no idea it was close!
Good racing at last, Kyle Busch may have won, but boy that was awesome! I'm glad I didn't leave the sport yet, Then yet again for this Saturday race at Daytona, it's been raining a lot lately in Florida so there may be a rain cancellation.
I know there are a lot of salty Anti-Kyle Busch fans out there not happy about how he won, but let's be honest, it was a good race, a fantastic finish, and it shows that a cookie cutter 1.5 mile track can actually be exciting if you put all of the elements together. Plus, Larson wasn't too upset about it, because he knew that once he made the contact with Busch, that it was game on. So, even though I'm not a big Kyle Busch fan myself, I have no gripes about the finish.
I was there and one of the fans boo'ing lol. pure emotion. i was pulling hard for Larson. Also from the stands you really couldnt see the contact on the back stretch/exiting 2, once i heard larson's interview saw it on video I respected Busch's move. What a race. Proud to say I went to one of the best NASCAR races OF ALL TIME!!
186 mph. Crash. Hamlin. Autoclub. 2013. Would You like to see Kyle Busch, Larson or whoever you like go through what guys like Aric Almirola, Denny Hamlin or Dale Jr went through?
No that was just flatout wrecking. Larsons wasn't intentional, Buschs was. Larson knew Busch was passing on the outside so he tried to slide back up behind him and misjudged the fender distance. Busch just floored it into the turn.
Matthew Porrini oh ok I was just wondering because there has been so much talk about that im happy about it because im a huge Dale Jr fan and I have been for 19 years
When i watched it live, as a kyle busch fan i knew he was going to get larson back. I was yelling, he's going to get you boy he's going to get you. I don't mind Larson, but i don't cheer for him either, ever since the incident in the last truck race in 2012. Also, listen to this commentary! Man i wish we had more of those.
If only NASCAR races finished like this every time. That's good racing, if you can't handle drivers being aggressive, then go back to Indy Car. Does suck that Kyle Larson lost though, I was hoping for him to win... I'm not even mad that he got spun, its racing, and I'm not even a Kyle Busch fan.
I remember watching this finish live and I went from being pissed off in turns 1&2, to yelling so loud from excitement at what I had just witnessed that I couldn’t talk the rest of the day. That’s how hoarse my voice was after this finish. I’m glad fans like Rowdy now, but as a Kyle Busch fan, I miss him being the villain of the sport. Regardless, I’ll always be a Kyle Busch fan, and he’ll always be my second all time favorite driver (with Dale Earnhardt Sr. being my all time favorite).
