Great video I just installed 3 Rd function value on my mx4800. Have grappler coming in tomorrow. Was thinking of adding hydraulic top link in the back. I don't have any rear remote. Here's my idea to utilize the 3rd function value. Change hose ends that goes to the front with quick connectors. build a quick connect bracket in the rear. Have top link cylinder plumbed to bracket, with quick connectors. So I can simply disconnect hoses from front to rear and use function value as you demonstrated. Your thoughts much appreciated. Thanks Darryl

Absolutely YES! That works too and saves on some $$. Hydraulics can be intimidating and confusing to some. They were to me when I first thought about installing rear remotes and a 3rd function kit. I watched A LOT of RU-vid videos to try and get a handle on how hydraulics are plumbed. Once I figured it all out - I realized that there are several ways to make a similar installation. Thanks, nice job. I need to figure out something kind of similar; I have a aftermarket third function kit for my loader (grapple) that needs to be connected to the supply loop for my backhoe attachment on my B2650. Obviously I will only need the loader third function when the backhoe IS NOT on the tractor.

I just bought a Kubota L3901 a few months ago. On the left hand side of the seat is a space for "Cruise Control" which I did not get on my tractor. I'm wondering if that could be used for tilt function on the cylinder? Hummm, another something to see if it might be a feasible upgrade, I've got the factory "Dealer" 3rd function valve, and really don't want to be changing out hoses all the time. My grip is not what it used to be,. If I could make a dedicated switch or throttle for that function it would be ideal. Great Video by the way.

Hey Rob. Sorry for the late replay - just getting caught up. On the side cylinder I have - you'll notice a clevis end that attaches to the hitch in the video. Closed, the distance between the eyelets is 14" - 18" depending where you're pinned on the clevis and fully open it's 18" - 22." So, the full range of adjustment is 14" - 22." Hope this helps. We need parts numbers for everything. also where do I get the bulkhead mount from?

Hi Jerry - Thanks for watching. The only thing I can provide part numbers is the hydraulic block kit. That is specific to the Kubota Economy "L" Series and those part numbers are L7334 and L7364 respectively. The 3RD function kit came from Everything Attachments and they only sell one for a 15GPM hydraulic unit. The hoses and fittings are from my local heavy truck parts shop. I hope this helps! Thanks for you comment!

It appears to me that you will have to disconnect your grapple hoses from the 3rd function valve and secure them to have the tilt functionality with the third function valve. I would think that it would be better to install a mechanical diverter valve so that you can change the functionality of the loader joy stick to manipulate the tilt function.

Where did you get the cylinder?

Hi Ward. I got the top link from www.agrisupply.com The side link - greenestractor.com/ You can pick the one you want online through Agri-Supply but you'll have to call Green's for the side cylinder. Good luck and thanks for your comment!
