wow what a big difference between gm and ford! in ford f250 it is more work to maintain and chevy makes it so easy

You should look at Banks rear dif cover video. You may want to install one if all you do is tow 🇺🇸

Gm spec for the rear is 3.78, 4 quarts won’t even make it to the fill hole, the dealership told me to buy 4 for the rear and 2 for the front.

I have not looked at the HD trucks enough to know how to tell if its the standard 3/4 ton axle or the one ton axle in the rear. At least now and may have been an option for the last few years in that a 3/4 ton duramax could have the max tow package which would then put the larger 12" ring gear axle housing from the one ton into the 3/4 ton. Do you know which axle this is as I wonder if both axle versions have this drain plug. Why for all these years most of the big three manufactures insisted on no drain plug and going through the mess of removing the cover and hopefully getting it sealed up again is beyond me.
