Open passing group (gold/slow advanced). With lots of traffic, sloppy driving, and some heat issues, I couldn't break the 40 barrier, and I only had a handful of 40 laps. I had @JoeMcGuiganRacing coach me for a session, which helped pinpoint which corners really need work and confirm my bad habits. I also took a fastsideways course last weekend, which gave me more confidence putting power down while the rear is loose. I also think my hands are a bit slower now, and I'm not panicking as much.
Oil temps were pretty high today, which led to some power loss. It wasn't particularly hot, but it was sunny. On the drive home, the car complained of lack of oil, but fortunately I had some on me. It's been a few track days since I changed out the oil, so I'm guessing it thinned out. This could explain the high oil temps. This is the first time since switching to 0w-40 that I've had to top up the oil. I need to be more diligent.
Last track day of 2023 will be at Laguna again on 12/30. It's a 90db day, so the plan is to stay in 5th coming out of T5. We'll see if that's enough.

Fresh set of RE-71RS - I had them pre heat cycled to see if it helps with wear

Scrubbed out the pad deposits up front, but ended up with new ones 🙃
