Track day number 54.5? This barely counts
Setup changes/maintenance:
Topped up oil
I wanted Joe to drive the car before it goes under the knife, so I decided to spend the day at Laguna. It's not the best track for setup testing, but his feedback is the car is very neutral now. It definitely needs more spring though. It's always a treat to have Joe drive the car. He consistently gets the rotation early into a corner. I'm sure he can get a 37 on a cooler, higher db day driving solo.
I did a couple lead follow sessions for a few novices in the morning, which was fun in its own way. They all had some experience, so I had it easy. I just hung out until the end of the day when I decided to go out for a few laps. I wasn't prepared mentally, and the car wasn't fully prepped since I forgot to pull the fuses on the windows. The car definitely feels way more fun and lively than a few months ago. Maybe I should have driven more sessions hah...
I'll be at the Thunderhill 5mi event next Saturday, and the forecast is going to be a cool ~110. Should be fun...
