Hell yeah! Welcome (back) to Santa Cruz!

❤ excellent :) this video is fun. its great to see steamer lane, one of my regular breaks back in 1986-1991 or so :) its especially nice to see caroline and you surfing together in this vlog, and wow, you both are each in top form, ripping. its nice to hear mike p's assessment of your surfing, and while i dont have a historical gauge reference, i totally agree with him that your wave reading, response, rhythm, and maneuver placement is excellent, and most certainly explosive (and very aggro). i also like your maneuver decisions which seem like a nice comprehensive use of the wave with maneuver variety, and befitting the natural break of the wave. similarly, its fun to watch caroline attack those waves with absolute aggressive commitment, and, especially backside, fierce powerful solid snaps in very critical parts of the wave, with relentless repetition and continuity. and because you both surf so differently from each other, including foot stance, its a really complimentary session seeing you surf together :)

Next time you come to North Cal I recommend Pacifica in Southern San Francisco or Fort Cronkite which I always surf at. It might be more intermediate but they are nice beaches to see and surf for something easy:)

We enjoy watching your vlog. Is this where to place questions? Here is one: Which part of surfboards do you check before choose? What are a few main components you check, size, volume, shape, tails, rail...etc? Could you give us some hints to gauge their performance before riding them?

Great video except Sally Loos is known for being pretty discriminatory and slightly publicity racists. We’re pretty disappointed by them as a community. Next time try Seeds, Kruezeberg, Bliss, or Hidden Kitchen if you’re cruising the 1. YEW!
