I was so emotionally attached to Luther's version of this song that at first I couldn't accept this version. But after I listened to it a few times with an open mind, I realize she was taking me some place else, but somewhere I definitely wanted to go. I just didn't know it.

My Goodness!!! So smooth and expressive. And she adds freely but tastefully her own almost Balkan or Middle Eastern improvisations. AND all of that with this deep and absolutely convincing sense of pitch and JUST hitting the bluest notes she can conjure. OOOH, just gets you straight in the heart. Ouch Lalah, and Thank-You.

When she sings she sends my mind to a smooth place. Lalah's singing will never get old!
