1) borne by Rev. John Lamb (1789-1850), D.D., Masters of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, son of John Lamb, perpetual curate of Ixworth, vicar of Haxey, Lincolnshire, and rector of Stretton, Rutland - Argent a chevron between three water-bougets sable. Crest: A rhinoceros's head, couped
2) Lamb of Colston, co. Wiltshire - Sir John Lambe (fl. 1623), son of John Lambe, son of Adam Lambe, son of John Lambe, son of John Lambe, all of Colston - Sable on a fesse or, between three cinquefoils ermine two mullets of the field. Crest: On a mount vert a lamb argent.
3) Lamb of Rye, co. Sussex - James Lamb, wealthy wine merchant and mayor of Rye, built Lamb House in 1722 - had issue including Thomas, James, and John - last member of the family to live in the house was Rev. George Augustus Lamb - Sable on a fesse or, between three cinquefoils argent two mullets of the field. Crest: On a mount vert a lamb argent.
Note: In the winter of 1726 King George I took refuge at the house after his ship was washed ashore at nearby Camber Sands.

Crest: On a mount vert a gate surmounted of a paschal lamb, the staff of the banner entwined with laurel all proper.

8) Lamb of Trimley & Barham, co. Sussex - arms and crest confirmed in 1559 to Thomas Lamb of Trimley, Thurleston, co. Suffolk (d. 1570), son of Richard Lambe, son of John Lamb, both of Trimley - had son Thomas Lambe of Trimpley (d. 1617), who had son John Lambe of Ipswich, who had son John Lambe of Barham, co. Suffolk (fl. 1664) - Sable on a fesse or, between three cinquefoils ermine a lion passant between two mullets of the first. Crest: A demi lion gules collared or, holding in the dexter paw a mullet sable.
9) Lamb of Kennington, co. Kent - Stephen Lamb of Kennington, son of Christoper Lamb of Egerton (d.c. 1624), clothier, son of Stephen Lamb, son of John Lambe of Lambden, Chart Sutton, who was the great-uncle of William Lamb, “gentleman of the chapel of King Henry VIII, and a great favourite of that prince” - Sable a fesse or, between three cinquefoils ermine between two mullets of the field. Crest: A demi lion gules collared or, holding in the dexter paw a mullet sable.
10) Lamb of Brocket Hall, co. Hertfordshire - granted in 1774 to Sir Penistone Lamb, Viscount Melbourne of Kilmore and Baron of Melbourne, Member of Parliament, son of Sir Matthew Lamb,1st Baronet of Brocket Hall, son of Matthew Lamb of Southwell (d. 1735) - Sable on a fesse or, between three cinquefoils argent two mullets of the field. Crest: A demi lion, rampant, gules in his dexter paw, a mullet sable.
11) Viscount Melborn - Sable on a fesse erminois between three cinquefoils argent two mullets of the field. Crest-A demi lion rampant gules holding between the paws a mullet sable. Supporters-Two lions gules collared and chained or, on each collar two mullets sable. Motto: Virtute et fide.
12) Lamb of West Denton, co. Northumberland - Richard Westbrook Lamb of West Denton (1827-1895), Justice of the Peace and Deputy Lieutenant, son of Joseph Lamb (1781-1859), son of Joseph Lamb of Ryton Hall, co. Durham (1732-1800), son of Richard Lamb Esq. of Seat Hill, co. Cumberland - had Major Stephen John Lamb (born 1860) - Sable on a fesse ermine between three cinquefoils argent two mullets of the field. Crest-A paschal lamb proper.
13) Warren Maude Lamb Esq. of Newcastle-on-Tyne (c. 1812-1840), son of Warren Maude Lamb (1780-1841), son of Joseph Lamb (1732-1800) - Gules on a fesse between three cinquefoils argent two mullets of the field. Crest: A paschal lamb proper. Motto: Palma non sine pulvere.
14) Lamb of Essex - Sable on a fesse argent between three cinquefoils of the last, two mullets sable.
One possibility: Henry Lambe of Colchester, co. Essex, apothecary, had son James Lambe of London and Hackney (c. 1665-1727), who had son James Lamb (d. 1761)
15) Lamb of Troston, co. Suffolk - Thomas Lamb and Fitznoon Lamb (fl. 1650), purchased land for the benefit of the poor of Troston - Ermine a lion rampant sable.

Suffolk John Lamb owned the manor in 1690 - later there was Charles N. Lamb (fl. 1831) - Per pale wavy argent and erminois, a chevron gules between three lambs sable. 18) to the sons of John Lawrence Lambe of Mobberley, co. Badge: Issuant out of a cornet of fleur-de-lys of four points or, a plume of five feathers gules. Motto: Hope. 19) The Burges, later Lamb Baronetcy, of Burghfield in the County of Berkshire, was a title created in the Baronetage of Great Britain in 1795 for the poet and politician Sir James Burges. He married as his first wife Elizabeth Noel, daughter of Edward Noel, 1st Viscount Wentworth and Judith Lamb, daughter of William Lamb. In 1821 he assumed by Royal licence the surname of Lamb in lieu of his patronymic, becoming James Bland Lamb He was succeeded by his son by his second wife Anne Montolieu, Charles, the second Baronet. He was Knight Marshal of the Royal Household between 1824 and 1864.
