Edwards, Haliburton, Quickley and Maxey have all been really good for stretches so far this season Lamelo just gets the most hype because he was famous as a freshman in hs and because his team is surprisingly competitive and he has played an important role in that but so has haliburton in sacramento.

Yeah the media has been a little bias when it comes to his exposure but skills wise there's a reason why he is currently ranked as the leading roy candidate atleast statistically. Also, yup Haliburton, Wisemen and Lamelo has been helpful with their team's success but again of all the three of them LaMelo had the better stats and bigger role to his team's success.

Prime Westbrook was an MVP historic level player. I’d be happy if Ja Morant was anywhere near what prime Westbrook was. I disagree heavily with the assessment that Ja could be a better version of prime Westbrook. He would need to heavily improve his defense, rebounding, and playmaking, while maintaining higher efficiency on way more volume. Or, become a great 3 point shooter.

I'll put it this way a bigger Chris Paul or a smaller injury-prone Derrick Rose? I can't remember a smallish athletic PG that has made it past 28-30 being the same as they were without having to drastically change their game. Westbrook is 6'5 so I wouldn't count him but he was always empty stats to boost his value because he needs to. Otherwise, he'd fade out.

They are perennial contenders just coming on a bit short all the time. I consider them winners in that regard. The other group is accustomed to losing,not even making the playoffs a lot of times. Bad things can happen off court. I remember a superstar got in a little off court trouble in Colorado. There was also that one guy from the Warriors slapping someone for running his mouth. They’re both good. I worry about injuries with both of them. Explosive small players like Ja tend to get injured a lot. LaMelo is skinny, but honestly the league isn’t as physical as it used to be and we do have recent history that shows guys that slim can succeed. I still have my hesitations though. If I had to pick right now I would go with Ja, but if LaMelo can show good shooting touch it’s gonna be hard for Ja to keep up with that trajectory assuming no major injuries to either of them. The playmaking LaMelo has shown so far is hard to find.

I mean i think in the mist of this argument about Ja and Fox yall forget that Fox has 2 more years of NBA experience under him . Ja was better as a rookie , Fox took off in year 2 then he stalled out in year 3 and looks like an allstar now , Ja hasnt even played alot this year frfr , give him another year or 2
