Just got my Lamzu Thorn 3 days ago without watching any reviews beforehand and buying purely based on its shape and specs. I can confidently say its the best mouse I've ever used
welcome to the EC2 club. the shape is just god tier for sure. but sadly no ultra light weight mouse of this one has been made yet. the most avaliable one would be strombreaker (55g) and XliteV2 mini (55gram) really wish there is a sub40gram EC2 shape mouse with 2k polling and awesome battery life. still waiting.
@@smokeholm1925 yes but it weight at 56 gram, the sprime pm1 is lighter at 45 gram but the shape is more like the g703 (which i like better due to the bigger hump in the middle)
In the lamzu app can you revbind scroll wheel up/down this is somewhat of a big factor for me since I dislike the idea of using an mmo mouse.. I already have an outset ax and I am strongly considering a thorn or waiting to see about the Maya x.. great review,, very positive you probably made some people on the fence for sure try the thorn out
@@seonis g pro is decent but has flaws unfortunately, I expected it to be better for its price when it came out Like side thumb clicks were horrible, shape struggled me a lot to get comfortable with to a point that my hand was in pain Probably because my hand is 19cm and previous mouse was Zowie Ec2-a and DeathAdder V2 Hopefully this one changes things 🤞
im not saying its bad bro. I just personally have an averison to to that texture. I need glossy or rough coating personally. The soft touch stuff makes my hands feel gross and makes me need grip tape on the sides.@@fwabble
Hey brother good video, I have a question i don't know what to choose between this mouse and the lamzu mini, i'm claw griper and my hand are small like 18cm,8cm lol, what do you think it will fit better for me ?
I don't buy mousepads, so it's only mice yes. Roundups might be something I'd do in the future, however I don't buy enough mice for me to be interested in that for now ;)
id love to get it but i think its too big for my hands. probably gonna buy one of the newer g wolves mice instead since i cant really find any nice ergo mice that would fit my hand size
bought it on a whim cuz amazon recommended it, thought maybe i was trippin but it seems like everyone that uses it for the most part loves it as well. genuinely a great mouse thats actively replacing my gpx superlight
@@tinocabral4201 pretty well, battery life could be better but i can still get a couple days of use on 2k polling, overall great if your into ergos or want to try a decent one without breaking the bank. I ended up landing on wlmouse for my daily use though being the battery lasts me a couple more days of use on 2k polling and I see better results in fps games with it the thorn is still in my regular rotation for backup when charging or if I just feel like using a more comfortable shape for the day
I actually returned my Thorn. The coating felt like an egg and it was honestly slightly too big for me even though I've got large hands. 19.5x10.5. It was hard to determine though. I spent a good week comparing it to my Gpro and ultimately I just aim better with the Gpro. More control basically. I absolutely preferred it over the EC and DAv3 shapes. A few mm smaller with better coating and it would've been the one but alas.
best ergo if you don't like the xlite v3(zowie ec) shape. claw ergo perfect for medium sized hands. dav3pro may have marginally better tech but its worse quality for sure. using the thorn in charcoal black for like 3 weeks now.
It's been about 3-4 years since I switched away from my EC2-A to a ambi finalmouse because supposedly ambi was best for aiming. Maybe for peak performance it's better, but deep down I've always missed the comfort of EC2 shape. That comfort I think is what could lead to some more consistency when just picking up and playing. I'll probably make the switch fairly soon.
has it got any build quality issues like a lot of mouse click wobble when pressing down, since youve had it for 3+ months now. also you should do a long term review
I feel like most Lamzu shapes are much too safe to have an endgame shape and whilst it definitely does not work for me it's nice to have a more aggressive shape from them
It’s an ergo shape but I’m not sure I’d call it aggressive, I can claw or fingertip it easily and both feel natural, a really aggressive shape would make you feel forced into a specific grip
Would you still recommend the htx ace? I'm looking for a new mouse for finger tip grip. I found some mice I like but I cant decide which to choose. Sora V2 X2H Mini (for 30% off) X2V2 (for 30% off) HTX ACE
Any opinion between the thorn and the atlantis? Current using a GPX and the locked in feeling you mentioned is quite appealing to me. I usually have to keep adjusting my grip on the GPX as i’m aiming.
I cut out a bit of the video where I compared the stability I felt similar to the gpx. I was describing it as an ergonomic gpx, but obviously that sounds a bit silly. I only have the Atlantis mini, so it's a very different shape. Although I definitely prefer the thorn for the locked in feeling it gives me over the mini just due to the larger size
I have been using the viper mini for years now and I've been getting hand cramps with it and I cant seem to decide if I should get the lamzu maya or thorn ( I use claw grip and my hand size 18.3x10.6cm)
Hi, i've been using a logitech g502 for 10 years since 2014. My grip is similar to yours. Do you think the Logitech Superlight 1 or the Lamzu Thorn would be better/most similar to the g502? thank you
Alright thanks alot kind sir! mine should arrive in 2 days ish, will play with it and see if im still able to frag out like i usually do or if i do worse. would update here!@@seonis
another thorn user. do you notice on 4k or even 2k the battery is horrible? i put it down to 1k so i don't need to charge it every 2-4 days. also side note i love how your crosshair on val is a thick dot. everybody always uses small dots. any chance you could comment back the code for that crosshair please?
I can definitely notice a noticeable increase in smoothness with high polling in aimtrainers, however I wouldn't say it's very necessary for games. Although I still run 4k for that slight advantage :p I'll reply later with the crosshairs settings once I'm home
I haven't used the DA. I know that the V3 is bigger and longer than the thorn, so if your hand size is similar to mine the thorn is probably a better buy.
If it doesn't feel good then I'd put it away. Right now I'm using the BeastX mini and it definitely isn't for me unlike my excellent first experience with the thorn.
not exactly the best because of the ergonomic design, but i would recomend hsk pro 4k wireless for finggertip grip style due to its small size and weight
@@tinychamberz not a mouse built for fingertip. Sure you might have a few people on the extremes, but in the majority cases an ergo is just not suitable
People do not understand, personal preferences aside, how good this mouse is, and are all licking the balls of Pulsar Xlite v£ eS - that's not a typo - (because of that screen, that Steelseries did fifteen years ago) I swore by the Xlite v2, Pulsar have IMO gotten greedy though now - like they ALL do, (OML Zowie). Until Lamzu start charging way OTT I will stick with them. Even the unboxing experience embarasses Zowie/Pulsar/EVERY ONE ELSE. My white Thorn cost £88 Delivered to my door in under 24 hours. If the Zowie ECX-CW was £90-100 I would say it's a very worthy ergo offering, when they tried to charge £180 and refused to FLAT PACK the GSR2 in TWENTY TWENTY FOUR oh man, thay need a slam dunk before I will look their way again. I am not easily impressed in todays mice/pad market, but the Thorn + QingSui 3 Pro, impresses me.
That is definitely true. A review on a mouse is never going to be 100% objective. That's why it's important to get information from multiple sources to make your buying decision.
