It's awesome that "they" are finally acknowledging all the sacrifices that Lana has made for Clark and that all the Future Superheroes know about the self-giving, the self-sacrificing Lana Lang.
Clark will NEVER love any other woman the way he DOES to our girl, Lana. That's TRUE LOVE. TRUE LOVE doesn't have to have a happy ending, because TRUE LOVE doesn't have to end at all. Love ya Lana. Clana Forever!
“Lana,” he said with an affectionate smile, “everyone wants me to be this hero or even sees me as this hero, and believes me to be a hero, and I have been for you more times than I can remember. Yet, the one thing no one seems to question, doesn’t the hero need a hero of his own? Who does the hero turn to when he is need of help, when he needs someone to save his life? It’s what I meant in the Talon, and what I said on top of the Planet about you not being a burden, your my hero Lana. You aren’t holding me back, and you never were, only my own believes and fears have been holding me back, but never you Lana or my love for you, don’t ever believe that.” She couldn’t take it anymore dropping to the ground her knees hitting the dirt as the flood gates broke open from her eyes. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw Clark instinctively starting to move towards her. She quickly raised her arm stretching it out and holding her hand up to make him stop. Her tears weren’t ones of pain, but at the same time there was just such an overwhelming feeling that had taking place inside of her that it needed release. It was everything that had taking place not only the last few days, but everything they had been through together, and what he didn’t know what had been said to her. That she was part of the reason that Kal-El became the hero that they looked up too in the future. They were wrong, she wasn’t part of the reason, she was the reason. If she left him now, just because she couldn’t touch him, how heroic was that? That being a hero wasn’t about physical touch, but about touching lives in this deeper way. What good was it saving someone’s life physically, if emotionally they had no reason to live, no hope, nothing to believe in anymore.
