Saskatchewan, Canada is home to incredible storms. During the summer months, these storms morph into supercells that make fantastic time-lapse subjects. The summer of 2021 had a slower summer storm season where Saskatchewan didn't record a tornado in July for the first time in many years. We saw a couple of really great late August storms that produced supercell structure and some of the time-lapse clips included in this film. Storms at the end of August aren't typical but made up for a slow season.
This film features time-lapse from many different storms from the 2021 #skstorm season. I chased both big systems and small ones. The four major events included are:
July 7th tornado-warned storm near Central Butte, Saskatchewan
July 22nd isolated storm near Weyburn, Saskatchewan
August 23rd tornado-warned that I chased with my wife and three kids near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
August 31st supercell that also received a tornado warning before hitting Regina. Saskatchewan.
A timelapse film is only as good as the music and this year I blended a couple of Ka Engel tracks. A very talented artist you may have heard on my channel before. Please check out his artist page at the links below.
