And it's time for the Land Rover Drive Winter Post Trip Wash and mounting the drawers back into my Land Rover Discovery 3, TDV6 2008.
As I said in the previous video, link below, I will be redoing my camping setup in the rear and it will be done before the next trip that you saw a short preview in this video. I just wanted to show you how they are mounted and also I needed the garage space.
I usually wash the car on a regular basis but for some busy reason I had not done it yet, and you can get away with it during summer, but during winter it's another story. That's why you see me cleaning the car after the trip.
As I have mentioned so many times before there is a lot of road salt during the winter, and they start late fall and we just hit the salty roads on our way back home.
I tried to put a more fun spin on the videos as I am learning the Davinci Resolve editing software. I hope you like it, but if you don't then don't hold back the comments. 😅

Good to see Perry back on the scene 👍mine needs a wash too and a polish so that's a weekend job for me. Still playing with my interior set up layout but I'll have it sorted fof France next year 👍 I think we are due to get snow here too. Safe trips 😁very lucky with the phone too😮

Hehe, phone game win. 🤙😊 Yeah, talking to Perry on regular basis, mostly about how we are on too few trips. 😊 I have never polished a car before, not sure I will ever do it too. 😂 Winter time is the perfect time for a project, if you have room indoors. 😊 Full on winter her today, snowstorm. ❄️❄️ Simon

The sleeping platform could be cut in half and then hinged to allow the head end to recline upwards if you don't like a completely flat sleeping surface. Could be quite versatile, I like it.

Hey Peter and thanks for the idea. I thought about how I could have the head-end of the sleeping platform always attached. A good couple of hinges should do the job. 👍 At the moment the head-end is actually kind of lifted a bit as you suggested, and find it nice as I can adjust a bit by sleeping one or the other way. 👌 Thanks again for the tip and for watching. would those draw runners be rack mount server rails ? they fit and slide very well

This is a full kit, drawers, rails and shell, made for trade-workers like electricians and carpenters. The brand is Sortimo 😊 They are solid and slide really nice and can handle a lot of weight. 👍😊 Simon

Thanks for the Video. About the base board, do you drill into body? Or try to use existing screw holes to secure it? Do u carry spare parts, oils, tools in the car if so where are they? Thank you.

Hey and thank you for watching! 😉 The base board, underneath the drawers, is bolted down, there are bolt-holes already in place in the body, M8 size. There are many so you could mount a lot of stuff here if you're won't covering them up with a board like I have don. I don't carry spare parts, only a extra brake switch and some xtra bolts and nuts just in case. For the traveling I do at the moment there is no need for spare part. Also the off-roading we have been doing is not to hard so I haven't brought any spare parts then either. For longer trips I would like to bring secondary drive shafts, complete with CV's, as it is a single point of failure on the Disco when you don't have lockers in the front and rear diffs. But a good walkthrough of the car and a good service before you set off and it should do for most trips, excluding the most remote trips. 😊 Hope that answers your questions. 👍 Sion

Hello, is it legal in Norway to wash your car in your own backyard?

Hey and yes, it is still legal to wash the car at home in Norway. I know Sweden has stated with some restrictions along side Germany, but thankfully it’s still legal here. 😊 As you saw, I don’t wash too often so not the biggest user of soap. 😂
