In this video we unbox our new suspension lift spacers for our project Land Rover Freelander 2. We have a look at the car and its so muddy we decide to pressure wash the car before starting.. Spacers were purchased from www.beavispits...
Finally, this is the video I have been waiting for. Don't hold back n with the details lads. Thanks in advance for making this series of videos, much appreciated 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@OneLifeOverland I have considered the one from Brazil, but buying it is tricky and I think its made of fiberglass, good design though. I'd like to see one made from XLPE or polyurethane
@@JoeVis ah I didn't realise it was fibreglass. There are a few uk Freelanders sporting one that I know of. At present they are no longer exporting to uk due to covid restrictions apparently. Scott Beavis was looking into one at one point though I think.
Got the popcorn ready for the next instalment , Simon. Can't wait. I've got a 40/50mm lift on my Freelander 2, Evoque 18 rims with 265/60/18 Yokohama Geolandar go15 AT tyres. Raised air intake and bonnet vents too. It's a 3.2 I6 with an HST bodykit fitted but that negates the lift kit.But I have a modified 2012-14 bumper waiting for paint before that's fitted, giving it a better approach angle. All I want is some wider wheel arches.......................
Simon...you really need an underbody Lance which makes cleaning the underside so much easier. It is an angled tube that is free to twist in its holder which means you can aim a wide spray underneath easily even if you are standing up...it really works and I use mine for Winter weather and especially road salt. Now I’m looking forward to your plans only it has passed through my mind to do much the same..a sound but slightly neglected HSE with rubbish wheels that will mean enjoyment without fear of scrapes and scratches. So...give me inspiration!! 😃😃😃😃Richard
Another great vid. Really grateful to Ukpowerful for these helpful videos, thanks Mr Beavis also. Both channels have saved me hundreds in garage fees although my wife wouldnt agree with the amount I've spent making my 2009 landy look awesome 😎. Any advice on where I can purchase the black side bars....really struggling to find them, can't buy second hand as there's never any mounting brackets included....help 😀
They seem to be discontinued at LAnd Rover but you can but the fitting kits for £30+vat - see attached www.dropbox.com/s/obtba0twub9xsqf/side%20bar%20mounting%20kit.JPG?dl=0
Air intake on my Freelander 2 stopped under the front headlight. Didn’t go to the vents, I found this out the hard way when I took it through a Ford.... sucked in all the water, luckily the air boxes have holes in the bottom to drain water before getting sucked into engine.
This does not sound correct - the parts list is showing only one configuration and that goes all the way up to the air intake in the wing / fender www.dropbox.com/s/r6za9lagk8r0wt0/Freelander%202%20air%20intake.JPG?dl=0
How does the lift kit affect on road handling? Keen to lift mine but to be honest it spends most of it life on the road, only occasionally off road. Thanks
@@L663 I got 830 front and 845 back. I've 17" tyres. Cant wait for the second one. Can you let the people know how long it took you to put the spacers on. Roughly is good. I have to ask a garage to do everything, then I know what I'm going to pay. Also when will you be sending to the eu as it doesn't go to order still.
