@@moocherhunters You needed it for that true moocher. Yeah, they re-set the sizing numbers with the LT range. According to Daiwa Australia, the LT 6000 is the same as the older 4000 models (in terms of spool size). The old 3000 sizes were typically used for heavy soft baiting, and the LT equivalent is the 5000 size. Either way, smooth reels.

Check out the recent vid by Mark Kitteridge on the Ocean Angler Facebook page which talks about 7" softbaits and the reason he favours 3/0 jigheads with them too. He demonstrates the movement of the Lightbulb short shank v long shank as well. Quite interesting.

Awesome to hear brah cheers! 7ft 9 is an ideal length for off the rocks, the slugger i use is 8ft 2. You just want enough length to be able to manoeuvre fish around any bombies infront
