Lara is fenomenal... her voice is one of the most beautiful, and her support is perfect! I'm pretty sure you'll become a fan of hers when you see her Je Suis Malade... She could easily be an actress, cause her interpretation on the songs are amazing.
Caruso is my favourite song from Lara, the RESONANCE and consistency is superb! You can clearly hear the quality there... It is not just belting but rounding your belt even at upper register! And Only Lara can do that technically perfect!
She is NOT like Celine... much better.... as you get toward the end of this album alone... you will understand.. CCeline is great,but Lara is like no one else.... Lara is the best....
I never knew about Lara Fabian until I heard Dimash performed Adagio at the 2017 The Singer. I read a lot about her from the responses among you tube ciewers. She is a sogwriter with a voice as she said during an old performance at one American TV appearance where she performed her ballad masterpiece Adagio. As I listened to her performances, I saw her passion , her presentation of the song, the vocal quality, the clarity all so extraordinary. She reaches my heart when she sings and her ability to tell the story of her song. I also found out that she has a sincere heart, she reaches out to other performers and tell them how she loves their takes of the song. This character makes Lara a beautiful human being and heart. Reading the viewers comparison between Lara and Celi r Dion, I can't help but to express my thoughts about these 2 great singers. Lara possessess the warmth, passion and clarity of her voice, can belt high notes with ease. On the other hand, Crline can belt high notes as well but nasally and can't feel passion in her voice. I am loving Lara Fabian more and more. She is a fabulous songwriter and singer.
As to me, her best live song is PERDERE L' AMORE - same recording, same show... and all that emotion she brings while singing it, especially because Perdere l'Amore means a lot to her ; she said the song is related to her childhood, reminding her italian mother (or grandma?) who sang it so often. Please check it too if you'd like to.
Both are great artists, but Lara Fabian will always be best for me. Her voice and depth creates an atmosphere that touches my heart. It is very poignant as opposed to Celine which can sort of cut my ears.
