hello, wow " mise en scene " well said, je vous engage comme prof de français. finally some one understand Lara, this that french music critic never understand her. telling that she scream and not sing, and again and again, this one of the reasons she leaves europe to quebec, and she could be her. In France, a lot of french people don't like great voice, or for a short time. she just make a new album studio named " papillon" ( butterfly in english) enjoy to listen it. and great reaction, love it.
She was just too sexy and too perfect for the critics. Remember that critics are all about finding flaws. They couldn't find any with Lara so they had to make them up.
Amusing that it's on a performance where she is sitting on a chair, but it's clear to this trained dancer that she has dance training here. Dancing is definitely not about what the feet do to hold us up; it's the flow of the body all the way to and through even the fingertips.
try reacting to her song with johnny , requiem pour un fou. or love again which show a whole different lara xD what leaves me speechless about this song is the way she bends her body and effortlessly sings on the same tone.
Hello Jeff. You asked for translation of this song. Lara wrote and composed it. Here is my atempt to translate. I'm french and far to be fluent in english. But it gives you an idea on what's going on : But what am I doing here ? I'm sinking deep inside you What time is it ? What fire is drowning me ? Is it dark or is it light ? I don't know My skin tags to the red of your moving blood and runing down to you I danse and I fight I wound my ankle around you, my legs bend I walk around your hips, on my kidneys returns your game I pray in vain and you laugh, a thirst assuage Do I danse or do I fight? I don't know, I don't know Tango my love, you hurt me and my fate is good devouring me when my body twists Tango my love, animal or matador one of us is stronger when my body twists But doubt is creeping in, I'm on the run The violence of the race, your body pushing me back Your movements remind me that you do not have the right on me that I owe you I danse and I fight But how to say, to who, to what, and who I am ? When only belonging to you is the challenge What if I said you're not the only one ? I danse and you fight, I danse and you fight Tango my love, you hurt me and my fate is good devouring me when my body twists Tango my love, animal or matador one of us is stronger when my body twists Dancing, dancing, dancing... (not really scatting ;) Tango my body isn't yours yet And if my soul escapes My body twists
Hi.. As always I like your approach to music, very original, a breath of fresh air amongst the several "reactors" that react to Lara Fabian's songs. I like the way you "dismantle" the songs. Lara Fabian's voice is incredible and the she is also very good actress. Keep up the great job you do. Greetings from Portugal.
Love your reactions to and appreciation of Lara. You reacted to quite a few Lara songs already but i think you havent reacted yet to these: Calling You - @ Dites moi pourquoi je l'aime (fan recording so poor quality but very sexy) - @ Je t'aime (a recent awesome live performance) - @ La Solitudine (duet with Laura Pausini) - @
Thank you for another great reaction, Jeff! I was in the audience the 3 nights that this concert was filmed in Paris, and it turns out that Lara was suffering from a 104-degree fever. At the end of each night, she came back on stage to explain her illness and to apologize to the audience, but she said she couldn't cancel because of her fans. ❤️ If you compare this concert (Nue live 2002) to any of her previous live concerts, you'll immediately notice a stark difference in strength, energy, and voice quality, oftentimes straining to reach notes (which she rarely visibly shows). In fact, this concert is the only one where she lipsyncs several songs, which she NEVER does at her live shows. Imagine what this performance of Tango would've been like had Lara been in perfect health! (Coincidentally, this is the same concert that many other youtubers are currently reacting to "Je T'aime" where Lara and the audience switch places: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JoZ6P6ihzCU.html, which you've already reacted to.)
Great video and you only mentioned Dimash once! I like your interpretation of the performances you see and listen to...very insightful! I have subscribed and will continue to watch your videos but please stop comparing Lara to Dimash! In fact, a good rule of thumb when critiquing anyone should be to never compare them to anyone else!
