Three people are dead following a shooting Monday morning in a law office in a building near the Red Rock resort in Summerlin, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill.
So here's what I read: Ashley and Dennis prince were killed. The shooter was Ashley prince's ex father n law, Joe Houston. Joe Houston, a lawyer, was reprenting his son, Ashley's ex-husband Dylan in a custody battle over Dylan and Ashley's two children. Ashley was being represented by her new husband Dennis prince, also a lawyer. During a deposition, Joe Houston stood up and shot the Princes and then himself. I guess he really didn't want her to have custody of his grand kids. There was also a report Joe Houston was terminally ill.
@@dougdownunder5622 your comment was chaotic. "terminally men"? What are those? And there is no "Banana republic"....you are confused. We create those, we arent one, we rule the world.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the spokesperson? He gave actual full details without dodging the questions and saying that the investigation is still pending
If my sister is a lawyer and I need her help to represent me, she can rep me. With are you guys talking about. Family over everything. World these days is weird! Everyone for themselves…... cant even see how to help family
Indeed, and when all is reviewed after this debacle the son might not even get custody of the children...they might be awarded to the wife's family or to the state. I'm speculating, there had to have been visitation rights for the son, so it might not have been a total loss if she had full custody.
Her new husband should have never been representing her! I mean these things can be contentious and now her new husband is advocating for how much parenting time the ex is going to get🤦♂️ bad recipe!
@@RicardoSanchez-nr2vq because I watched it on another news channel. Dennis and his wife were the ones killed, and the wife and her ex Dustin were in a custody battle and JO, which was Dustin‘s father is the one that killed both of them and then himself. He was representing his son in the custody, and Dennis was representing his wife in the custody. Very very sad. They also had an infant that is now. Motherless and fatherless
Doctors do not perform surgery on family members. I don't understand why lawyers don't follow the same guidelines. I made an edit so that people understand that I mean doctors Don't perform surgery on their family, not that they Can't. I forgot this is RU-vid and not everybody has reading comprehension skills and some people take things so literally.
@@bigdog4574 Yea poor outcome for the defendant, the person who hired them. That's your fault if you hire your cousins who hates you to defend you in court and people should have the right to self sabotage 😂
If there was a law preventing it people would be pissed because some people cant afford a lawyer unless its a relative. Also.. do you really think a law preventing it would have prevented this murder?
@@charleswhite758 believe the father the natural father will get full custody of the children. He knew nothing of the plan, innocent of that. And not to be held accountable for his father‘s actions. Who has the kids in the Alderson case? The natural mother.
If you love the child and are so concerned, why would you as their mother burden a child with family law bias and fight over custody and visitation like most women do in a contentious divorce. The child will have to live with this.
They dont understand that, a lot of men cant handle it well mentally. They end up lashing out .. mothers need ro find a better way. And yes im victim blaming
A lot of women can't handle it well and many of them attempt to hire a hit man to kill the child father or lie by saying he raped the child. @@cedscorpio5657

Jesus.....I thought we learned a hundred years ago, to have metal detecters at all of these legal proceedings! ESPECIALLY in child custody fights! WTF?
I work at a law firm right down the road from here. the partners i work for know prince. I hate to say it, but having security at every single law firm is just not feasible
Rich or poor when it comes to child custody some individuals exhibit the nastiest behavior ever and will go to great lengths to try and make someone’s life a living hell.
News said the shooter(ex father in-law law) to the female victim, had terminal cancer, also a lawyer, who was representing his son, in the child custody case, of his two grandkids!
This is a prime example of why lawyers shouldn't be able to represent people in cases they have a personal connection to. Things can get messy quik. And worse case scenario we get something like this. Idk just seems like a bad idea to me at least 🤷🏻. Too much room for emotions to rise and take over instead of just doing their job and keeping things professional.
There's on old saying in law. In criminal cases, you often see bad people on their best behavior. And in divorce cases, you often see good people on their absolutely worst behavior. This Summerlin divorce case is an example of the latter taken to a radical extreme level.
@@zazabrown732 Marriage has become the contract from Hell, for the man at any rate. Over 50% chance of divorce and then losing your home, money and children. Would any sane rational man sign such a contract?
Ethically, no attorney should take a case in which they could reasonably be called to be a witness. I think that would have included the kids' step-father (Attorney Prince) and their grandfather (Attorney Joseph Houston II, the shooter). These two lawyers should not have been representing these clients IMO. EDIT ONE DAY LATER: And now I read that Dylan Houston in fact did previously ask a court to disqualify Dennis Prince from serving as counsel in this case and that the court denied that motion. I wonder if the judge regrets that decision now.
@@5aturnia The court will ABSOLUTELY consider the environment of a potential household in a custody hearing. If you think the court is automatically going to send a child to a toxic environment where one of the grandparents murdered their mother you're completely ignorant of how custody proceedings work.
@@christophbjorn6007 you may be right, I was more referring to the people that were against the mother and father getting time with their kids. Killing the mother is practically dis-respecting and hurting the kids too. Normally, I would say let the kids decide, but putting that adult decision on them is hurtful for them as well.
He gets all the money too..... he wins. They'll investigate, but it's likely there will be no trace of him knowing what his father planned. So he gets off scott free
Not really as the old man thought...the children could be awarded to the wife's family, or a ward of the state... Even if she had full custody there had to have been visitation rights, so it was not a total loss...the innocent children are always the victims of someone's selfish ego.😢

when a father can not bear to see his son's life become miserable from the ex-wife (daughter in law) attempt to take him for millions, this is what happens .
The suspect was the lawyer for his own son in a custody case?? That was the 1st mistake, b/c he is too closely involved in the case, in order for him to be rational!! Family ties almost always ratchet up the emotional & personal feelings so for his son to have the best case of fairness, it should have been called out sooner! What an awful thing to leave the children with having to cope with now too.... so depressing! I TRULY pray for those left behind!
This is the most reasonable response I've read about this horrific case. Parents who are divorcing should try not to vilify the other person. The idea is to settle the issues as quickly and amicably as possible. Sometimes, it's better to be on the losing side of a dispute rather than see it escalate. My heart goes out to the children of the deceased.
If you want to really see how f'd the system is and maybe get some perspective, go sit in family court for a day and listen to all the drama and bullshit these attorneys drag into these cases to run up their billable hours. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.
Why would you represent your new wife in a custody proceeding against her ex-husband. And why would the father represent his son. It gets too personal and heated when family is involved. this just proves it. Think about the kids before doing anything like this. The kids now have to live with this tragedy.
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Never trust a lawyer, I've only had 1 instance in my life i was told get a lawyer so i did, he sat down with me for 10 times and never asked what i did, what happened, what were the circumstances he only told me meet him 9 am in court and he would take care of the rest. I got to court got in front of the judge and the judge asked how does the defendant plead and my lawyer says GUILTY, after 5 minutes of talking to the judge 1 on 1 he threw my case out and asked why didnt i tell my lawyer this before we came to court? I said he never asked me anything about the case at all he read the paperwork and sent me on my way. Judge roasted the lawyer and i didn't have to pay 5000 dollars to a piece of shit lawyer who didn't even do 1 minute of work
I'm sure being all attorneys involved and it being personal, they pulled every rotten trick an attorney can pull. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. And what's fair and what's legal are two completely different things.

Some lawyers are scumbags. When you mess with the most emotional thing in someones life that may be unstable watch out. Just saw a video of a woman who shot and killed her daughters killer in court or on the way to courtroom.
Yep, 2 faced and probably tried to take his money to spend on the side dude...sorry for family members that lost her, but she brought that on herself you don't do a man that way and just think he's going to lay down and take it.
It amazes me how many men feel like they own that flap of skin on a woman and anybody male or female that plays with or touches that skin is violating the man that thinks its his pussy.
Sounds like a messy custody case brought on by messy attorneys. I'm suprise these things don't happen me frequently. No one wins when one doesn't want to be fair.

@@shelovestheslots Wait but isn't it disgusting that you would say something so careless without knowing the background of the marriage and divorce and what the egg donor was aiming to achieve in the custody proceeding? Isn't that the really disgusting thing?
People should be checked for weapons before such an emotional charged case is being done. What a disgusting and cowardly person to kill over custody. Just grow up and share, your children are entitled to be loved by both parents.
Then she shouldn't have tried to take away the fathers rights to see his children, some woman are just ugly when it comes to custody and sometimes things just go haywire when you push people to far.
That deposition meeting absolutely should have included a weapons screening before anyone entered that room. One lawyer the father of the man in the custody case and the other lawyer the current partner of the woman.
My heart goes out to those children. When you get married or get into a long-term relationship then have children, you're marrying the entire family forever.
@@PBVader Explain that please. I watch this youtube channel in regards to family court. I've noticed a pattern. Custody is always awarded to the woman. Court costs is always charged to the man. I know the govt. gives them money back for every man on child support or something like that .
@@brianbest6097 you pretty much explained it well, yourself. CPS/DFS are gynocrat feelings police and get federal kickbacks(rewarded) by the numbers. Judges are rewarded for the same behavior the same way. Sad thing is lawyers seem to be the only people appointed to the bench, but need lawyers to remind them of the law? Either one or both of two things are happening, they're not that smart and allow emotional judgements or there are too many laws. We've lost our standards and it started with the destruction of the family.
Karma can take a long time to get that person into the exact same situation. It can happen quickly or it can take lifetimes. Remember, we are eternal souls, and we have numerous lives. We mostly stay in soul groups, and we take turns being the mom, the dad, etc. Other times we can have a life on the other side of the world. We can be anyone, any colour, any role. It's all about learning how to love yourself and others unconditionally. So yes as bad as our personalities want justice sometimes we have to wait for God to work everything out so those people can feel the same feeling we did and hopefully they learn from that and never do it again. That's what we truly want, rather than just punishing the person. At the highest level our soul wants everyone to be kind and loving but in the meantime we learn through contrasting experiences and our soul loves to grow, even if it hurts our personalities at times.
I know. Women can get sole custody without any legitimate reason all because they are in their feelings. Sad the kids have no mother or grandfather over her stupid emotional decision.
Laws need to be in place not allowing family to represent family in these cases. Both sides should have hired other parties. Bad all the way around. What a sad day.
