For the Southern Paiutes, Mormons and Helen Stewart Las Vegas in the 1800's was a time for new challenges. Other Channel: @VegasVisualTheater ContactVegasVisual@gmail.com
Amazing learning about the history of the southwest, the people behind it all, and how Nevada was formed. Wow I need to visit that mormon fort someday. Have you been there? Wow it used to be spelled Los Vegas. Wow the street names and the people that were named after them. They were pioneers and important people who made what Nevada is today.
I have been to the Mormon Fort State Historic Park, its only $ 2 or $ 3 dollars to walk the grounds, which still has part of the original settlement building from 1855.
Love this history! I need to go visit the Old Las Vegas Fort. Pioche was a pretty violent place! I was wondering who Stewart Ave was named after, great stuff. Thanks for the video!
