The fact that Jon puts a hammer in his jacket before he leaves to go on a date gives me chills. It makes me think what he is planning to do to her. Jon will probably kidnap her and make her stay with the other victims in his house.

I could watch an endless amount of gorefield stuff but it would never come close to this psychotic masterpiece. Everything was done great, the pacing, the voice acting, the implications. Gosh this video is great.

Jon’s face changing is the equivalent of Cartoon Network switching to adult swim

I thought that this was going to be horrible. But it’s worse.

The way this video depicts the house, it makes it seem like Jon is less of an insane maniac who thinks the people in his house are his pets, but that he's a monster treating them like animals out of pur malice or fun. Jon literally has an underground room full of people with blindfolds as he pours a bunch of dogfood in there. And before he changes art styles at the end before going out with the woman, he puts a hammer in his jacket, implying he'll do the same thing he did to his previous victims to that woman

The way he swaps from official Garfield art to his own is amazing

The transition to Meat's art style as he enters the house is GOLDEN

I like how outside the house everything looks childish and cartooned and on the inside looks realistic and terrifying

I thought of so many different ways Meat Canyon could've portrayed a cursed Garfield, but I could've never predicted this. He is truely an artistic genius.

I forgot and took for granted thinking that the striped tail flare would be a buttplug, but when you reveal it to be stapled to the spine area, that unlocked a new level of repulsion. Glad I came back to this one!

Great play on expectations. Thanks for continually challenging the reductive caricatures of animated characters and giving us all a bit of relief through more robust, accurate framings of the complex humans that we actually are.

When he morphs his face back Into the normal style of John at the end was amazingly disturbing and I loved it.

Meat Canyon has such an eye for criticism, he recognizes that John is the toxic one in this franchise. The original comics worked so well because Garfield was the foil to John's toxicity.

I had a fucking evil step mother when I was a kid that would turn into Jon Arbuckle when the family was at church, in public, or when my dad was around. I was “Garfield” when I was 9 years old. Once my father was gone at work she became an evil demon. She had serious mental issues and my dad cared more about preserving his third marriage than he did about standing up for his son. When I turned 18 during the 1990’s I moved out and wrote them both off. My father passed away in 2019 and to this day I’m still shunned by the entire family because they hate me for walking away and disowning my own father. Life is too short to spend on your knees eating crow, stand on your feet and give the abusive bastards the finger instead, live life on your own terms. After everything some people endure as children they are fully entitled to make that decision.
