I had chronoc pain for 2 years, o was in servere pain for every second of everyday i got diagnosed with fibromyalgia snd the doctor told me i would be in pain my whole life i went to doctor after doctor and they told me its all in my head nothings wrong. A Month ago i visited a highly educated chriopractor whoch found out i had lateral pelvic tilt and lots of pinched nerves and now all that pain is gone just in a month, still cant belive it.. doctors are dangerous and im still traumatized by it all
Hi, I'm in a VERY similar situation myself, and I'd really like to talk to you. I'm so glad you got help! It gives me hope. Lately I've been at the end of my rope. My dad was told the same as you were. He saw doctor after doctor, to finally be told he had 'fibromyalgia' and that he'd be in pain forever. He also has a lateral tilt but he ignores it. I'm 18 and I've been in chronic pain for three years. I was told I had a lateral pelvic tilt and an anterior pelvic tilt. My doctor can't understand why I'm in so much pain and why no pain or sleep medicine I've tried has made much difference. It's been getting worse and worse. I don't sleep anymore. It all started in my back and now it's so bad my whole body is in pain and I experience every symptom of fibromyalgia. I'm just waiting to be diagnosed when I finally see a rheumothologist, for him to tell me that I'm just going to have to live with this. I don't believe in this label. I think everyone can heal their back/pain. It's 2.45am right now and my back feels like it's on fire, I havent slept in days and ive been lying here since 10.30pm in hellish pain. I was in tears earlier and I stumbled onto this video in my recommended (because I've been trying to correct my pelvic tilt.) THC (RSO oil) is the only thing that takes the edge off the pain but sometimes it's so bad nothing helps.. I'm so driven, I want to get better so that I can be healthy and go to college and make friends and do my art but I'm too sick. 18 years old and I'm on disability benefit, I can't attend college, I don't have a social life, I haven't been active in my hobbies for a long time, I no energy. Everything hurts all the time. I'm depressed, sleep deprived, anorexic, isolated, anxious.. I'm fed up. Sorry for this rant. I just wanted to share my story because I think it's weird we're so simular. I want to find a chiropractor like you did. Nobody should have to accept this pain for the rest of their lives. I don't want to give up.
I had similar experience , i must have visited dozen of docs and among them most of the pt or docs said similar things , good thing is i knew whats going on i did alot of research before going so i found out one who was young and understood he worked on me for some time and i had alot of relief , but still i have some symp of it and i have to work out alot to maintain health , if wud b nice if u can tell us more about ur treatment .
You think that is bad, I had when I was 10 year old, docs just said it is weight, or it is in my head or better it is just growing pains When I turned 18 it got the point I could not stand. I decided to start going to other means like acupuncture, 3rd place I tryed was chiropractor, it was not cheap but they told me what was wrong, it taken over 2 years to all most fully fix it. It may never be fixed completely but I'm no longer in pain when walking or running, I still get it when sitting down for a long time then start walking or when biking. It was amazing after my 1st session, it was like I was given new leggs.
I've been having issues with my left shoulder for a while now, it sits slightly higher than my right. I started trying to find the root cause and noticed my left hip also sat marginally higher than my right. Any ideas guys on fixing these imbalances? P.s I've suffered with lower back pain for years.
check which pelvic is ant forward and which one is post backwards , they must b in opposite direction bcz of imbalance , need to work on streching and streghtening aswell as correction , my pt did this , he made me straighten my left leg which was posterior til and hold the pelvic bone , then he wud raise my knew and push it back wards bcz right one was ant .
Hmm...I mean...I’m genuinely concerned about your reading comprehension here. Assuming you read the title to this video, and you were looking for a video providing you with exercises, then you read something that literally wasn’t there. Like, if you were going to see recommended exercises...idk, my friend, haha now I’d just love to see you read other things and then ask what they’re about/what info they provided!
Sir I need your help in knowing one thing sir I have this problem and my right leg is very tight and tense and left is weaker and not high as my right so the exercises for this , should I do from both legs or only from my weaker and longer legs please help
Should I suspend walking on the treadmill for exercise altogether while working to strenghten my core and glutes? I am so confused now while walking because I feel so off with my gait and bearing weight on my legs. How long can I expect before I see results for my one-sided lateral rotation so it will hold after muscle energy techniques? Thanks for all the videos you are doing, they are a wealth of information.
I'd like to know more about the SI joint causing this. My pt says that shouldn't move, that the ligaments are too strong, my chiro says it should move a little. Along with pain in the SI area, I've been feeling the top of my body doesn't line up with my pelvis and down, so I pull on my pelvis and hear a pop. Yesterday my chiro said one leg was an inch higher so she adjusted my hips. How can one leg be higher if the SI joint doesn't move?
I think it's easier/better for the muscles to walk ...especially re: running... on the ground instead of moving on street cement, sidewalks, i.e. The impact is less & kinder ...but, be watchful for footing, as always.
Thank you for the video. I was born with the right leg shorter than the left by 3/4 of an inch. Never really had a problem with it beside discomfort standing. But now I'm in my 30s and I've been having right knee pain ( was diagnosed as a patella tilt), pain at the femor head of the left hip, and flares of severe back pain. I've always enjoyed walking but now I can't do it as much because of the pain. Besides for the tilted knee cap I've never really seen a doctor. Who do you recommend I go see? Doctor? Chiropracter?
You need to get some feet prosthetics made to correct your leg length discrepancy. They need to make a heel lift for you. See maybe a foot doctor or chiropractor.
I was born w/a one hip higher than the other. The Dr. told my mom when I was born. I didn't find out until I was 17 when I was in PE. My mom didn't know if I would be able to walk or not. It had devastating consequences in my life. I could never ride a bike, hula-hoop, dance fast. or really run. I could not give birth. They tried to induce labor w/Pitocin and nothing happened, no uterine activity at all. The Drs. could not figure it out. Even w/a C-section they had to remove my baby w/forceps, he never got in the birth canal and he was 2 wks. overdue. Then I had to have a THR 4 yrs. ago. I was bone on bone and could hardly walk. My other hip & knees are just fine. It's doubtful that any exercises would've helped me. I think the DR. mentioned special shoes for me, but, my parents had no money, my dad was a college student. Psychological issues were big for me. I was always the last chosen on a baseball team, thought I was a failure that I couldn't ride a bike. Now I think there are many more resources now available to help someone w/this problem. If I had known my diagnosis, I would have realized it wasn't my fault.
I beleive mine is cause by tightening of the muscle. Slept wierd or something and my back is sore and over night I have a lateral pelvic tilt 😆. Hopefully nothing serious.
What about a unilateral tight psoas like Left psoas hyper tense. And right psaos long and tight lack basically? Would that cause a leg length difference?
Well jeeze Brad. I don't know about you two being the two most famous physical therapists on the internet. Of course that 's just my opinion Bob. (but seriously thanks for all the videos)
Good explanation, Thanks for it. Does lateral pelvic tilt cause testicle pain? because I'm experiencing testicle pain.. when I stretch the pain goes away to good extend.
I believe it does. i am not a doctor but sometimes i get doms running from my testicel (left side) all the way to my anus. i also experience later tilt. this is not constant it only happens every now and then.
You guys I have disc bulge and starting getting this about a year in!!! My physio thought it was scoliosis. I try pushing my pelvis in away from the tilt, but I get leg symptomes. I feel my body did this to prevent pain in my right leg, but I feet that it might cause issues later on... My chiro has me wear a heal raise, I guess it helps a bit. It's maybe a bit better. I don't know how long I'm stuck with this. I feel that as long as the herniation is there, the tilt is there..... Is this worth surgery (micro-d or ADR)? Btw, loll @ Brad movin' dat booty @ 0:59
Hello Sir, I have the same Problem for 4 years, this got worse the last two years. I want to know if you get Rid of this problem and how. Thank you very much for your answer.
@@rajaganesh9435 hello every1. Sorry for the late reply. After 6 years i can say that my disc problem is still there but much more managable. What helped wat doing mackenzie exercises. Lookup the mackenzie technique my stuart mcgill. The lying on the stomach cobra exercise is my saviour. Just avoid bending and use proper posture. I am also able to do squats using the landmine.
If I have arthritis in left hip, left leg short, pelvis points to left and a right flat foot and all the pain is in the muscles around the left side of pelvis low back and thigh. How would I fix it?
Whats is the correct movement from the pelvic when walking up and down stairs? Is normal the lateral movement? And with exercises like lunges my pelvis do some lateral tilt is ok to do that?
Hello sir. I am rohan from india. I am 21 year old. I play triathlon. I have minor lateral pelvic tilt. So can keep doing swimming and cycling followed by your video stretchings ?
I just had am excellent idea to help people with this issue! I made a video on how I treated it but I think that I can add to it! Or produce a follow up video.
@@faithahora no, I saw a sports/muscle therapist for diagnosis and and treatment, then I got given some exercises to do at home every morning. I did them for 3 years, everything is better, the place I went was called RESTORE in Lincoln, UK. When I 1st got treatment, I was almost crying, knowing I was in all that pain for nothing.
I got this and I also suffer from benign fasciculation syndrome and I notice that my left leg will always have more fasciculations when my pelvis is out of whack. The chiropractor will fix it but it always comes back within few weeks.
I have a question so i was way too big in my moms womb i was 9 pounds 13 ounces i was almost 2 ft long would that cause me to have a tilted hip im 18 years old and i noticed this problem a couple years ago when i got a physical
I have lateral pelvic tilt from a deadlift injury, I deadlifted wrong and I felt a shock of electricity go from my right butt check to bottom of my right side of my skull. Know I feel a little bone popping out a little bit above my right side of my pelvis. Can anything I can do home help me become symmetrical again?
Awesome video as always, Can u pl explain to PT student like me reg sitting flexn test, gillet test, its implications....what to expect normally and what happens when s.i jt prob? Thx in advance
I've just started with a chiropractor. He said I have some degenerative discs in the lower lumbar. My left hip goes down and my left shoulder goes down. I'm trusting he knows his stuff. Is this the best course of action?
Thank you for video. My left pelvic is higher than right pelvic and left pelvic more fat. Right foot smaller than left foot. Which foot I must stand on magazine -- left or right? How much time I must hold this position? How much time (week or month, every day or 2-3 time a week) I must do this exercise? When will be first result?
Great vid! About the disc bulge causing lateral tilt where you mentioned you won't go into detail - how does that cause the tilt exactly and what can be done to bring the affected side back to a normal position?
Thanks for the video! Generally, stretching the QL and hip flexors and strengthening the Gluteus Medius on the side of the hiked hip to bring it back down - and vice versa on the other side - is viable treatment for lateral pelvic tilt; did I get that right?
It depends on what is causing it. Here is another video you may be interested in ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RK3267U-8nc.html The Bob and Brad Team
Dear Bob and Brad, i ask You make for us educational video about importance of Physiotherapy. Because mostly post soviet countries don't understand what is PT actually, basic principle of PT, which problems is solve PT, why is PT in really need, people prefer drugs than PT etc. And we promise, share Your video in our Physiotherapy Association page (www.azpta.az). Thank you in advance.
Hi! I was just wondering if you could help me with figuring out how my hip is tilted? I have piriformis syndrome in my right hip (I get numbness in my right leg and the foot rotates outward. I’ve had my spine checked etc). My right hip seems to pop to the side more making it look more round and my pelvis isn’t levelled. I’m sure one of the sides rotates backwards. You mention that one side of pelvis can rotate forward, but is it possible that the periformis affected side is rotated backwards? Thank you for all the useful videos!!
Awesome video as always! I don't know if you guys can help, but I have my left leg that is slightly longer than the other and it causes a pelvic tilt. I go to the PT and he can fix my pelvic tilt, but it always seems to come back, since evidently my leg won't shorten up. Is there a way to even them out, by using a little heel or feet prosthetics? Thank you!
@@JediJai effects my entire body. I don’t remember which but because of the rotation & tilt in my pelvis on leg is “shorter” and my shoulders are uneven. It’s messed with the muscle tension in my back badly
Good video, I enjoyed it! I'm experiencing some problems when I do squats. I went to a chiro and my pelvis is rotated and tilted. The right side appears slightly in front (if viewed from above) and it is higher. The weird thing is that she didn't see any leg length discrepancy (LLD), but I think she is wrong! I've tried mobility work before I do squats at the gym but it is not helping. I think this suggests that it is an anatomically difference, such as a LLD. Because you can't fix a short leg by doing mobility work. This seems to be the most logical, but is it correct? I experimented and put a 1 cm shim under my left foot and it stops the pelvis from rotating counter-clockwise. I eyeballed and measured myself and without the shim it certainly looks like the left side of my pelvis is about 1 cm lower than the right.
I'm not a PT. I've gathered the knowledge because I really want to fix my issue, so I've read a lot of articles, watched videos like this etc. I'm trying to convince the doctor to do an x-ray on me. I've had light pain in my lower back for years but I've gotten used to it. Other than that I just have problems when I do squats.
I have the same issue too when i squat, ill only get pain after i squat. I went to a chiropractor and got an xray and it showed a tilited pelvis. He said it could be an imbalance of weight distribution while squatting which causes my muscles to pull more on one side causing my tilt
Justin Beck yes, for me I had to simply lower the weight until I could maintain perfect form and I did so many reps just to ingrain the form. I have really long femurs so I had to really push my knees out HARD and eventually it solved it.
